In this generation, no, there is nothing harder. Our children have some real issues
and they are being handed to them by adults who are supposed to be looking out for the best interests of the future adults of our world, but instead, they are being fed
lies that could ultimately kill them.
Example:
In California schools this fall, Kindergarteners will learn about the CHOICE we have to be homosexual or not.
They are NOT told about the fact that their
lives will be shortened by 20 years, that they will be 900% (AMA, June 2007) more likely to get anal cancer; that they will be
400% more likely to get the Aids virus, etc.
never mind the attractive anal fistula problem, genital warts, and fecal incontinence. Now that sounds like a real
attractive partner, huh?
I love my son more than life itself, and
often it feels like I'm shipping him out into a world that wants to kill him from every angle; if not promoting the homosexual
deathstyle, its drugs and alcohol.
When I was growing up, the biggest worry
was getting somebody pregnant. Today we are lucky if our kids are still alive to reach the age of 25.
I want mine to live, but it sure seems like the world is working 24/7 against that.
What I don't get is why people are so blind to it. Why are people who choose a life that includes no children, be allowed to decide what is taught to the kids of somebody else? What possible benefit is there in
promoting death? The only entity I thought that promoted death was Satan; in fact, thats one of His many names - death.
I guess the saying is true:
"Satan is alive and well and living on planet Earth". At least his spirit sure is, and we see it everyday when someone tries to push a law or an ideal that is utlimately dangerous to children. Its dispicable.
I can't even really say to you that things will be alright, because I don't believe that.
I think things are Not alright by any measure, and that they are gonna get a whole lot worse before its finally put a stop to. Hold onto the bar.

Samurai, here are some things to consider:

Now that I'm grown up, I am thankful for the good example that my parents gave to me. They were honest, hard working, creative, had good work ethic, responsible and loving. People respected them .

I am thankful that they gave me responsibilities and made sure I followed through with them.

I am thankful for the spankings I received, and any rules and limitations that were imposed.

I am thankful for all of the books and music that was laying around the house, and for our many pets.

I am also thankful for their generosities and for all of the help and encouragement they ever gave me.

My older one started Kindergarten this week and I spent the whole day worrying that she'd get on the right bus, find her classroom, etc. When she got home around 5:00 she didn't stop talking about her day until she went to bed around 8:30.

We worry because we love.

My love for my children makes me begin to appreciate the love that God has for all of his children.

Knowing that he worries about us constantly brings me peace.

Real men show love. I'm proud of you samurai. You're an excellent role model for your children.

I don't know how old your child(ren) is/are but I have to answer no to your question.
I worry about my two sons, aged 8 and 5, and their futures in this world. I worry that I'm not a perfect mom to them even though I truly believe I do a good job. I worry about whom they come in contact with when I am not there to protect them. Oh yes, it is very difficult to not worry and put trust in God, our society, our schools, our country, etc., etc.

I am with you Jack, I know where you are. Yes it is quite challenging to raise them these days. I like to make a comparison to a teenager being like a car without a steering wheel, they are all over the place. This is even with a good upbringing and with God in first place.

no there is nothing harder in my option that trying to raise good, productive, God fearing children.

As a mother I can say that my only fear is that I will not be able to instill the fundamentally necessary information that is required for them to be successful. And while everyones definition of success is different.... i am sure that as we are all parents.... the definition of success is that they will be and come to a point in their lives when they will be alright and can function and live productively!

Nope I don't think so. I worry about my youngest who just started school this year, and I still worry about my oldest who is 18. But it is so worth it when they make good choices without you there and when you realize that all those things you were telling them that you thought they weren't hearing, they really were.

I have learned thru the years this fact........ when there's something seriously wrong, I'll probably be the first one they get in contact with; however if everything's okay, I won't hear anything at all until my birthday or Mother's Day! Wish it wasn't like that....shrug. Then I say prayers and say out loud, "Jesus, I cover (name) with your blood....I ask you to put a hedge of protection around (name). Father God, I put (name) in your hands. I pray that your plan and purpose be done in his life.
Then I have peace in my heart.

Kind of tough at first, then you kind of figure out you were a pretty good teacher and they will be alright.

School huh, mines 4th year, you get over it pretty quick trying to figure out where to get all the money they will need and ask for.
