No, if she approves I am doing something right, parent should be involved in the dating process. Why have a life of family conflict, Moms do know best, I would take my moms advice any day, she is smart and knows what is best for me. She has not been wrong yet

Depends. Can you trust your mother? Does she really like the girl, or is she faking it? Would she like a transvestite if you brought one home? Compare your idea of yourself to your mother. If the two are drastically different, then maybe you have not chosen wisely. Or maybe you got such a great girl she can get along with anybody.

I'd think that's a good thing, unless your mother is a crackhead that can't stay out of prison. A mom like that I might question her system of values.
The fact that your mother takes a vested interest in the girls you're dating tells me she most likely isn't. :)

Depends on how honest your relationship is with her.
Nobody said an unkind word about my first wife to my face; but once we separated, I learned that the rest of my family referred to her as "The Beast" when I wasn't around...

No. Mom always knows best. Just be sure she isn't like your mother . . that's a whole new issue.

Depends on if you like your mother or not. If you don't like your mother...might be a problem...if you do...not so much.
