Well this is a doozie to explain...Read some history books, then follow up with us. Adam and Eve is a story. Most of the bible is a story. Many generations and creatures existed before then. Evolution my friend!

**If** we're going to believe the whole mythology of "adam and eve" - then no, there were no people in the Garden of Eden.

It becomes a little ambiguous after they are cast out of paradise - because I guess we're either supposed to assume that they were dropped onto the Earth where people and civilizations were already in existence... or they were the only people on the planet and everyone's been committing incest since the dawn of humanity because we're all descendents of those two people.

... all I know is... there's about 10 pages of "begetting" going on to create people.

Adam and Eve were the first people, but not the only people apparently. Cain wandered off to the land of Nod and married one of the women their. Apparently Adam and Eve were just the first Jews, created by Jehovah. Some other god created all the other people.

No, Adam was created first and then Eve was taken from Adam's side. If mankind was already on earth, why would GOD create more and not use procreation?

it depends. If you mean 'according to the Bible', no (whether you believe it or not, that is the story). If you mean according to science, 'adam and eve' don't fit in.

This all comes down to your own personal truth. The answer depends on what you believe: Did God create man or man created God?
Mankind has created civilizations, wars, technology, education, literature, industry.. etc...Religion is created everyday as well. Man is pretty creative, don't you think?
