When I mediate or close my eyes; I see red eyes millions of them and sometimes pairs. In other words what I'm saying is, "I've put my trust and faith in what man says not God over a higher power." I've called a higher power to allow me to see into the future with my 3rd eye with help; yep, help from a demon. I feel that I've learned my lesson and I would like these red eyes to stop. How can I go to him with this? I know he's punshing me...

how can your belief be quantified, either you believe or not.
To believe more you have to come from an agnostic view, does this mean those who want their faith to grow are agnostics.

The Encyclopedia Britannica contains an interesting article on turtles which claims "the evolution of the turtle is one of the most remarkable in the history of the vertebrates" However, in the next sentence it states, "Unfortunately the origin of the turtle is obscured by the lack of early fossils, although turtles leave more and better fossil remains than do other vertebrates. The article affirms that "intermediates between turtles and cotylosaurs the primitive reptiles from which turtles probable sprang ARE ENTIRELY LACKING. If turtles leave "more and better fossils remains than do other vertebrates" but transitional forms are "entirely lacking" what can this say for intermediates between all other vertebrates?

The Scottish Executive seems to be promoting a policy of financial blackmail by trying to foist workers upon religious charities of ITS choosing - not the charities. It implies such charities show discrimination if they prefer helpers sympathetic to their own religious ethos. It wants people of other (or no) religious persuasion to be used by religious charities. In the Christian charity I work for employees in some sectors only have to agree to be sympathetic to the ethos of the group; they don't have to belong to it! And some don't even have to agree to that. But does government have the RIGHT to impose their views on charities, withdrawing finances as a sanction? Does government not care that some charities' doors will close, and needy people will loose out? Is control over religious charities more important to them than the welfare of needy citizens? Are we going back to the dark ages when government appointed clergymen to preach - for political reasons?

Why would someone use a Bible verse to "prove" that the Bible is real, and inspired by God, when it is the validity of the Bible under question?

The Bible is true because it says it is? Isn't this circular logic?

if christians are supposed to be good people then why do they... bash on people who do not believe the same things as them. Plus they dont even try and question thier religion, what is up with that. how can you devote your life to something and not question it. I bet alot of people who read this will be angry when they read this which just shows thier ability to rationalize.

Gary Gygax created this game which is called Dungeons & Dragons. Do you think it is a harmless game or somehow dangerous just because it has some connection with occult? I'm just curious.

Can any JW’s confirm this if Gary Gygax is in fact one of JW's?
Jehovah's Witnesses only. Thanks.

P.S. I don't have that game, by the way.

How do you think Mary felt having had no consent over becoming pregnant?

Also, I understand that Christians see God as perfect and all-powering, but what gives Him the right to force a child onto a woman who has no consent? I only say "force" as she had no say in the matter until it was irreversable.

Evolutionists point to a few transitional animal forms that they believe show the evolutionary transition in the fossil record. However, such intermediates are often speculative and much disputed, even among evolutionists themselves. For example, one commonly used transitional form is the Amubulocetus natans (walking whale that swims) discovered recently. It is believed that whales evolved from some form of land mammal, and the the A. natans is transitional between the two, with halfway stuctures between land mammal and the whale. But when fossil drawings of A. natans are compared with actual bones found, it is realized that the critical skeletal elements necessary to establish the transition from non-swimming land mammal to whale are missing! Stay tuned to my next question continuing this.............

Not according to my biology professor and my psych professor. They say we should never say a study/experiment has proven something because experiments just support theories/hypotheses and not prove them.

My Bio-prof said science is always self correcting, always revising what they had found, making it more precise or even disproving itself. He said that you can never have an absolute truth except in math(2+2=7...I mean 4...) than you can only have an approximate truth.

Just thought I would share his point of view on the word prove...what do you think about it?

Now notice I said many, not all. Some can make some really great debates. But I have noticed, that in a lot of cases a non-believer will make an absurd commit/question and when you clearly prove them wrong and lay the truth out to where even a blind person could see, the get mad and block you from answering their other “questions”. Why would anyone do this? I could understand if the response was vulgar, outright rude, nasty or such, but to get so upset over the truth and hard facts that cannot be denied? Isn’t that childish?

He gave me some great info that can kind of support creation...

The universe is 13 billion years old...
The sun is 5 billion
Earth 4.5
Life 3.9

Well first lets pretend God is real...so He HAD to have existed before the beginning of the stars and planets...so say sometime in 8 billion years God came to be(somehow) He created the Heavens and the earth...(Sun and planets within .5 billion years of each other) and after the earth He created humans 5 days later(on the 6th day).

So take the time between the between the creation of the world and the creation of man...6 days(total) and how many years is between the creation of the earth/life according to my bio professor? .6 billion years or 600 million years...not 6k years...but 6 is in there lol.

Anyway, just thought that was interesting...did you?

I'll let you answer as you see fit. However, you must know that it is impossible without being pre-ordained by God. I.e. you will not be going to eternal LIFE unless God has written your name in the Lamb's book of life (i.e. Jesus'). Now, no body but God knows who is in there..so there's still a chance for you..if you accept by faith that Jesus is your savior. Read the bible starting with John and then move on to Romans and Ephesians.

Yea..yeah..I know you pagans and mockers will scoff at this post..go ahead and scoff..your destruction is nigh..dudes!

All three of these religions follow the same God, and adhire to the same basic commandments etc - plus or minus one book.

Why can these religions accept the BIG similarities they have and forget about the petty things like - parables and lore?
