I have reasons for every decision I make.
Unfortunately, that's not the same as reasoning behind every decision I make. I have come to realize that sometimes I make decisions without really thinking about them or I make decisions for emotional reasons. Then I rationalize why those reasons were correct.
The more important the decision the more I try to use reason ahead of time in actually reaching it. But, to be honest, sometimes I'm just being my own cognitive spin doctor in trying to justify a decision.
I'm fascinated by split brain studies. Some people have the two halves of their brain disconnected for various reasons. They will do tests where one side of the brain can see something, the other can't. Sometimes one side will make a decision, but the other side can't see why. The other side will then, after the decision is made, come up with a seemingly rational reason for why the person made the decision. Unknown to the person, the rational reason given is actually wrong, that wasn't why the person made that decision.

Sure, although I often wonder exactly what the hell that reasoning was after I've injured myself. Of course, on other things (most things), I use vastly more of it than your average individual.
I'm neutral. The smart balances the stupid. People think I'm smart because they've only seen the intellectual side. Then they spend the day with me, and I cut/burn/bruise myself a dozen times, three of which were the same thing repeated. It's a give and take thing.

Why, yes there is! A great amount of reasoning. Was there a reason for this question, because it's kinda not going anywhere.

Nope they're totally random. Just kidding. I've been told I use my brain too much but intuition is important too. You need both, intuition and reasoning.

We all use reason ,whether sub-conscious or thought out .
The only time we don`t use it is when we are reacting quickly to a stimuli.
