Dude, God made women hot for thousands of years so why should He change them to suit some guy who has no will power?
Now let's say that when you married your wife, God decided to make all other women dogs (except your wife of course). That would leave your wife as the only hot chick on the planet which results in all men on the planet to suddenly become unattracted to all other women except your wife.
So the problem isn't with God for making hot chicks. I'm glad He made hot chicks. The problem is if one is still attracted to other women then one might not be truly in love with one's wife or one's wife is a dog or one doesn't understand the meaning of commitment.

Satchmo, as long as we are in this world, we will be faced with temptations, such as this. The enemy knows where we are the most vulnerable and he always goes to the weakest link. If you can get alone with God and pray about a "weak" issue before Satan tempts you, then you'll be ready. Remember the incident with Joseph in the Bible, when Potiphar's wife, got the hott's for Joseph.....? She suggested that they sleep together and Joseph refused! Read Genesis 39th chapter for the very interesting details!

If you were single no one would want you. Its something about being with someone that seems to attract people to us. God leaves us to make our own decisions and mistakes. HE is the one we will account to one day. There are temptations all over the place, its up to us to over come those temptations. We know what we need to do. If you look at other women then you should not have gotten married..... I'm in love with my man who happens to be in prison right now. I am not tempted by anyone because i love him and only him....

It is not God's doing. It's satan tempting you.
So says the cathechism anyways.
Just because you take a vow doesn't mean there are any changes besides on your taxes. Your personality is exactly the same. Probably why so many people end up breaking their vows...

Maybe you're thinking "the grass is always greener". There's a difference between noticing an attractive woman, and lusting after her. If you're having a problem not gawking as it sounds like you are, then you're letting Satan tempt you and you need to pray for strength to resist him.

God, if you believe, will test you to temper your soul and prepare you for his kingdom. As for getting wood, it is natural and does not mean that you will do anything about it. I have been married for 10 years and still get wood around an attractive woman, but I have never done anything about it.

So that other guys can be blessed with a beautiful wife just like you've been blessed.
However you should be blessed only by your one wife and leave the other gals alone to bless other guys.

Another test of your faithfulness and devotion to God and the one to whom you promised to love 'til death do you part.
Be strong. Deny the urge. You'll grow spiritually instead of physically, if you know what I mean.

A good book is "Every Man's Battle" by Stephen Arterburn. It goes into this question in detail.
