(For those of you who have been reported.)
At least with blocking, you know who is doing the blocking.

If there is a fork in the road and the opposite path is different than yours...while you were walking your own path would you wave at the person on the other road or would you throw stones at them and say that their road is wrong and that they should cross over to your road?

I myself...would wave.

Yes this is a metaphor. I would like to know though...please be honest.

how do you fulfill the law, and wouldn't this be suicide-all: extinction if all the kingdom of God is located within you?

I think Matthew 5:17b is allegory:
I am (grace) not come to destroy (law), but to fulfill (grace).
For law limited to not full, not every tree, a tree short of a forest, a frie short of a happy meal, never satisfied nor sufficient. Only grace full fills with merciful = mercy full, and such is peace full; constructive, not destructive.
For 5:2 says: he opened his mouth AND he taught them.
Sometimes it says he answered AND said.
So there are always two parts to look at:
"their part" and "your part"

What is easier to believe in; God or Aliens?
I myself believe in both. I mean for all we know, god could be an alien. But what is easier to believe? I mean, we really dont have any strong evidence of god or even that Jesus existed. We have more evidence of Flying scaucers and aliens. To some people God is easier to belive because of the security and comfort of knowing that we actually go somewhere when we die ( I believe that too, in God and all) But who says god isnt an alien?
Where is the proof and which one is easier to believe? I know I will get some negitive feed back on this question but think before you say anything, for your belief is just a theory.....

With the recent bridge and mine disasters, I'm sure many religious people prayed, and are still praying to god to save the victims. In the hours after the bridge collapse, when people were still missing, I'm sure many, many people were praying for god to save those who were buried in the rubble. I'm also sure many people are still praying to god to save the lives of the trapped miners.

So my question is this, why do you stop praying? If god is capable of performing ANY miracle, and you truly have faith in this, what's the difference between him allowing a pocket of breathable air to exist beneath a collapsed bridge, or in a mine tunnel, and him bringing a drowning victim, or an asphyxiation victim back to life weeks after the disaster?

Why don't you keep praying for months, or even years, for god to work his magic? Why not pray for missing 9-11 victims to be found? God can do anything, right?

At what point do you realize that the prayers aren't doing anything, and quit?

And why do christians still quote from the OT?
And why do they pick and chose which laws are void and which aren't?
And don't give me that 'spiritual law' verses 'old law' nonsense, because you know you just pick out the stuff you can attack people you don't like with?
For example anything having to do with gay people.

After all, if the traditional "7 Deadly 'n Mortal" aren't really "sins" at all, just things that are healthy, pleasurable and normal in moderation, (perhaps) potentially bad for you in excess . . . then what's really left? Where's all the "inner horribleness and rottenness and filth" the xians are always talking about? Why the constant self-loathing, labelling and finger-pointing?

Can't a person, instead of branding a big "SINNER!" on their forehead, just say "well, probably I should cut back on the ol' gluttony a bit, but that lust, well, that's working for me and the missus just fine?" Wouldn't that be more . . . sensible?

Seems to me there's just life, pleasure, and---sometimes---bad choices. But why characterize even THOSE as "sin?" Why not just call 'em what they are . . . human?

ok, this is a long confusing story
i moved up to QLD from tasmania to live with my dad coz mum and i werent getting along. He was a preacher and i became a christian. things were ok but i never felt fullfilled. my dad would preach about love and forgiveness yet after the sermon he would say nasty things about people and ignore their needs and pawn them off to someone else. he was close to an elder who stole from a second hand store and showed no remorse! He would take the tythes money and use it for petrol, saying he used it for Gods work, to visit people who needed councelling. I had enough of this and told him how i felt and i got the relationship back with my mum, dad then said i betrayed him and i have a spirit of deception and used him. He once prophesised over a man that he would see the return of christ, but that man died! i moved back to tas and because i dont want anything to do with dad, he said my demon has come back 7 fold. Whats going on? is he really saved? am i?

that God DID NOT exist, they would still believe. They could just say it was God's will for us to find the evidence and that you still need faith bla bla bla. Anyone agree?

Today, Al Qaida backed Sunni insurgents murdered 175 fellow Iraqis in four suicide bomb attacks. This, apparently because the victims, the Yazidis, have been declared "anti-Islam" and devil worshippers. Also, they were attacked because a Yazidi teenage girl was stoned to death by her own family back in April for running away with her Muslim boyfriend.

Now you American girls who can't wait to be the first on your block to convert to the passive and peaceful religion of Islam, take note, here.

My question to the peace-loving, friendly Muslims who frequent this forum is: what are the religious tenets which justify these kinds of actions? How can anyone defend a religion which condones things like this? Remember, these were all religiously motivated actions. How do these acts and these groups square with your concept of Islam, in general?
