Matthew 7:21 Not everyone saying to me Lord, Lord will enter into the kingdom of the heavens. Then is goes on to say that many who thinks they are right with God he has rejected.
They said they did powerful works in his name. but he said he never knew you. Like the TV evangelists? does he hear their prayers?

I offer the following quote from Darwin himself, taken from Darwin's THE ORIGIN OF SPECIES, 6th edition (London: Oxford University Press, 1872, reprinted 1956), p.560.

"There is grandeur in this view of life; with its several powers having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most wonderful and most beautiful have been, and are being evolved."

What kind of "Creator" is he referring to?

This person was of Royal lineage on his mother's side and she became pregnant through Divine means.

He performed many wonderous acts, beyond the ability of ordinary men.

Because of Envy, he suffered torture.

He was raised by his Father to Heaven where he took a place at his Divine Fathers side and has been worshipped historically....

Did you know this description fits Hercules?

-- His mother was a decendant of Perseus,
-- Zeus impregnated her,
-- Hercules performed 12 Labors that are still legendary,
-- He was burned by a poisonous and acidic mix of the blood of a Hydra and a Centaur.
-- He was lifted to Heaven through the actions of Zeus
-- AND he was worshipped as first a Hero and then, later as a God in Greece and Rome.....

And ALL of this (except for the worship as a God in Rome) pre-dates Christianity by at least 400 YEARS as there are representations of Hercules from the 5th century BCE

If "yes", do you care enough to support and advocate it's removal from all bills and coins?

There are those who say "this is wrong and shouldn't be permitted any longer" and there are those who say "yeah, it's wrong, but it's inconsequential so why put up a fight".

Which are you (or, if neither apply, feel free to explain)?

I read a "profile" which was described as follows: "As for my beliefs (because everyone seems to be hung up on that lately...) I base my philosophy in Modern Satanism, though I can be more easily described as a free-thinking optimistic existentialist. " I guess I am ignorant because I have no idea what "Modern Satanism" is and I am confused by the phrase, "free-thinking optimistic existentialist."

If you are this person... please don't be mad... I am truly only trying to learn something about someone who'l opinions/answers on here I tend to agree with most of the time.

I am an Atheist. I have always considered Satanists as being "twisted Christians" because I figured you can't have one without the other. Maybe I've been wrong all this time???
I'm not looking to be converted. I just want to learn and understand.

"God?"
and it was in front of a Christian Church

Wouldn't Christians say "God." or even "God!"
Not "God?"

Some people get panic attacks and decide to pray due to fear. They see themselves as dying and are afraid that they haven't lived there lives to the fullest potential. The fear of eternal hell scares these people and they pray in their head or says Jesus over and over again. Many panic attacks have heart attack like symptoms and people in the old days say that those inflicted with panic attacks are that way because they are evil and it is God calling them up to judgement.

Since you don't believe in God, what do you think are some causes for people to feel unfulfilled, or restless, or like they are in search of something they can't put their finger on? What are some remedies?

For example...

According to John Hagee's (incredible loud) voice....God "hates" certain things. Does that mean it is alright to follow in his footsteps? Is hatred of sin and the devil and whatnot acceptable in God's eyes?

I always associated hate as a negative feeling....am I wrong? Please clarify this for me....I'm just having a hard time understanding how a deity with so much power would have to stoop to the level of hate (of something he created in the first place.)

Before I say anything, I want to say i'm not implying anything, i'm asking for your input and opinions.

According to the Biblical term in the old testament and New Testament, Every God fearing person is called 'son of God'

Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peace-makers, for they shall be called the children of God"
Then there are Matthew 23:8, 23:9, 24:36, and 26:39

I want to know if Jesus(Pbuh) ever in direct words mentioned himself as "God", or in the form of one.. because there are many verses in the Bible, where Jesus is worshipping in solitude, and says "God Why have you forsaken me" when he is being crusified.

Also, I have a lot of Christian friends, and many of them have said to me that true Christians reject the trinity, so I wanted to know your opinion. Thanks

Peace&Love

Jeremiah 17:9: The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

So, is this saying my heart will lead me astray? Nice. No wonder I can't trust myself; this is a very invalidating statement. My therapist says I shouldn't listen to this kind of stuff.
