Dinners not for another 1.5 hours or so here..

We are having grilled Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast, Fettuccine Alfredo, Salad and Croissant Rolls..

In my family we don't need to rediscover family time we never lost it.. Just remember meal time is not the only time that can be family time.. We play board games, card games, build puzzles, take walks, work in the garden, mend fence lines (a never ending task on a farm) etc. as a family while we talk.. The activity being done while talking isn't as important as taking the time to talk as a family while you do it..

As for tonight dinner nope not having it as a family as everyone has things to do tonight (oldest 2 kids working, youngest kid has dance practice) ..

Haven't had dinner yet. It's not quite time. As for sitting down as a family, it's kind of a moot point for me. My parents and siblings are dead, I have almost no living relatives, and don't have kids. However, I do enjoy having dinner with my girlfriend when I can.

I haven't eaten yet. And I'm alone here with my two dogs (but I already fed them.) I've got some left over pizza in the fridge I'll probably grab when I get hungry again.

When my husband is home, we always eat our meals together. Even breakfast.

I had oatmeal...my daughter had Cheerios and boiled eggs...my mother had Honey Bunches of Oats...my husband is out of town.

Normally, though, we do enjoy a family meal at lunch and supper whenever possible. It is a great thing, and is becoming a lost art in our time-intensive society.

Thanks for the reminder.
