According to John Hagee's (incredible loud) voice....God "hates" certain things. Does that mean it is alright to follow in his footsteps? Is hatred of sin and the devil and whatnot acceptable in God's eyes?

I always associated hate as a negative feeling....am I wrong? Please clarify this for me....I'm just having a hard time understanding how a deity with so much power would have to stoop to the level of hate (of something he created in the first place.)

He hates sin and mankinds fall from grace. How we took something as beautiful as the love between a man and women and the ability to make a family and have all these loving people as part of your family. then turn sex into some disgusting preversions of cheap thrills. Is it all about this feeling or is it about love?
Even the animals that bring us so much joy and mankind gets his greatest joy out of hunting and fishing and tortureing and killing the animals. I know I eat meat to but is this what he had in mind when he made the earth. They way we killed each other and the animals. The way sex has become so preverted I wonder how women can even stand men anymore. Everything is so messed up.
I can't believe this is what he wanted.

God loves all his children, he made us. and give us a world to live in. I suppose there is God in ever being. He doesn't make us good or evil that is what we do to our self. That is our choice, he doesn't hate the mean people, the devil is their friend. Did you ever want to do something that you new wasn't right, and there was a little voice inside your head saying go ahead and do it .No one will ever know.that is the devil leading you into trouble.
god gives you the choice to make all you're decisions. So if you get into trouble just blame your self. God doesn't hate he teaches us love. Don't take people's words. Read a bible.
There is a little saying that says:
The devil made me do it.
I use to have a license plate with that on it many moons ago.

One thing that youre gonna learn while listening to anyone in the church is to take SOME ppl(including ministers, rev..) with a grain of salt, we all know right from wrong once ur in there and have read the bible and heard sermons. Since i dont know when there has been alot of hypocrites in the church and alot of the ppl are only interested in drawing crowds to raise alot of money. I think that ive heard of a few preacher on tv that seems to preach about the bible like i'm interested in and one is joel olsteen of lakewood church in houston, hes soft spoken and he dont degrade ppl. So pick and choice wisely bcause hate in any form is a sin. By the bible were not suppose to even speak the word.

Yes i believe is OK to hate the evil and devil, and lies and sin, yes.It goes against God's nature to accept those kinda of things...maybe this is what John Hagee's was meant to say.You cannot see God with human characteristics, because He has a Divine and Supernatural ways, so we cannot ever place God in human's perspective....

Of course it is all right to hate. There is nothing wrong with hate. As you said God hates sin but loves the sinner. Jesus hated the way that the people were corrupting the temple area and using the temple rituals to make a profit. The point is that there is evil and evil can be hated justly, but it is not right to hate for the wrong reasons.

You pretty much answered your own question. God hates sin and as Christians we should hate sin as well. But it's a sin to hate people.

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

God didn't create hate. Satan did that when he chose to rebel and tempt Eve. Angels and people have free will so you can't hold God responsible for anything satan does. With free will comes responsibility so God can judge us. Satan's fate is already sealed. How about yours?

Hate means to love less than God in certain instances.
when we are told to hate our motherand father to follow after God that means to PUT GOD FIRST>

we are to hate sin, and the sins of this world and the devil
we can not love God and The devil at the same time
You can not serve God and the Devil at the same time
You have to choose GOOD or EVIL

Light or Darkness
LOVE OR HATE
GOD OR SATAN

I believe that God hates sin and what it does to us. He has given us free choice. We can be angry, sure why not? But we must never sin because we are angry,(Ephesians 4:26).(Be angry and sin not.)It has nothing to do w God "stooping to any level". Shouldn't we hate sin after all its what pedophiles and murderers, and home wreckers do is sin. I don't hate them but what they do is very ugly. wouldn't you agree?(Leviticus19:17).

this was a good q and I'm glad you asked it.John Hagee is loud but listen past that and you'll here truth w scripture.

hating what is bad is proper. God hates bad and we are to imitate him in this way. (Ps. 97:10; Rom. 12:9.) The Bible even says that there is a time to love and a time to hate (Eccl 3:1, 8)

God hates actions, but never the people acting.
God hates sin, but He does not hate the sinner.
God loves everyone, even those who do things he hates.

I hope this helps.
