Blind faith and denial runs deep and are psychologically hard to come to terms with. They will believe despite all evidence to the contrary. They will ignore all opposing knowledge. It appears to be some deep-seated fear and insecurity.

Meum, I've been studying the Bible avidly for much of the last 24 years. At times, very intensely. I have never found and "mistakes" or "contradictions". I have seen some differing observer view points, which are always typical. Ask any cop who has taken statements from 3 people who witnessed a traffic accident.
However, as a student, it is important to learn the original languages and cultures.
For instance: If I say that I hit a home-run today - it would be important to know the context. Was I playing baseball, selling cars, or making out with my girl-firend. That would be called and "Idiom". That is, a statement that has an implied meaning based on a context, rooted in a cultural norm.
Much of language is like this. The Bible was written in 3 languages. You must know something about the subtleties of those languages, at times, to understand the meaning or the more sublime points being made.
My problem is not with the obscure points of the Bible. My problem, and yours, is with the PLAIN and MAIN and OBVIOUS points of the Bible.
God has chosen to make clear and plain statements to mankind in the Bible. We need to listen.

One big mistake mankind has made is giving the Laws of Moses a religious interpretation when in fact this scripture has been written in scientific text that couldn't be interpreted as science until now. This mistake literally changes The Bible from a religious book into a science book that mankind will be forced to retranslate it's new found message.

Human mistranslation is an easy out.
Apparent contradictions are apparent, not real.

You say that the word of God has mistakes. Perhaps you have never studied with the right group. Perhaps Satan is placing questions in your mind and making you see mistakes. You say mistakes but you don't give examples. People often misread the Bible and if one is not intune to the word of God it is difficult to understand. If one looks for mistakes one will find mistakes. However, when one looks for mistakes in the word of God one is not a true Christian and is still being developed. A person needs time to take in, to digest, and to study.
One does not begin or pretend to worship simply to get one's way. For example, a person's mother gets very ill, that person begins to go to church and thinks that the very first prayer and the very first step inside the church should automatically cure the mother. It doesn't work that way. One approaches God for salvation not for earthly treasures and favors.

I think you have hit it on the head. Humans misunderstand God.
It must be a mistake in the receiver, not in the transmitter. I suggest you send the faulty receivers back to the original manufacturer. Maybe you can get a refund, or perhaps a newer model. Surely the warranty is still in effect.

Dr. Seuss' book "Green Eggs and Ham" is my Good book! I believe it all and it's without any "human mistranslation". :)

How about if you find ONE THING that is a 'mistake' or 'contradiction' in the bible and share with us, ok????
The bible is God's word. God knows every word that went into the bible and just like Him, the bible is perfect. There is nothing that you can find that is wrong.

we have the originals and ancient copies of the Bible dating the the 3rd and 4th centuries, therfore, todays Bibles are very reliable. God bless.
There are presently 5,686 Greek manuscripts in existence today for the New Testament. In addition there are over 19,000 copies in the Syriac, Latin, Coptic, and Aramaic languages. The total supporting New Testament manuscript base is over 24,000.The oldest manuscripts were written on papyrus and the later manuscripts were written on leather called parchment

If you are referring to the gospels in the bible, where one says the person came himself, and the other says that he sent he's servant, in those times, when someone sent he's servant, it was as if he was coming himself, they were written differently because of how one person perceived it compared to the other. Like me saying "he was killed by a shotgun" and someone else saying, "John killed him". Apparent contradiction, but both saying the exact same thing.
