I was going to say fear, but most used the word "coward", so I guess that's the same thing. Also, emails are a little more involved. Can you contact a person who blocks you? Here, let me go check out if i can email iamacatholic. Back in a tic

*later: yup, I can email him/her if I wanted. cheers.
Life is great.

It is because they are cowardly nogoodniks, and have not managed to learn any manners. Etiquette is becoming a lost art. If you go to someone who has offended you, you may find out it was a misunderstanding and gain a friend. If not, you both know to CYA! We love you Uncle, and I quess it is hard for most of us to understand why you would rile anyone.

Well Uncle I cannot think of any time I reported you. But, I must say that when I report some one I do not go and email them. It does not have to do with cowardice, but practicality. None of those that I have flagged would care to have listened to me as they were vulgar in nature. I cannot think of one Atheist or Cultist that had questioned or blasphemed God that I reported (unless there was vulgarity). God knows what was said and He is big enough to take care of himself

The ones who report are spineless chickencrap losers who have no guts to deal with someone face to face (so to speak). I would love to email some people but *surprise* they do not allow email. I only know a few people (you know who you are) that have a VALID excuse for not allowing email, and those people never do anything to bother others---
oh I had better stop and let someone else borrow the soapbox...

I'd never report you Unc. I only report child abuse/porn and personal threats. Profanity annoys me, but gotta respect the old 1st amendment.

To avoid having a confrontation. And if you begin emailing someone if could be considered criminal and you could be charged with harassment by communications.

it is strange isn't it? some people are overly sensitive and take things that weren't meant that way very personally.

i have to agree with what some others have said...they simply lack the courage.

if they don't like the questions why don't they find somewhere else to hang out?

hello uncle wayne

Personally, if I thought someone's post bothered me enough to report them, I wouldn't then take the time to email the person to let them know I think they suck.

Not everyone here accepts email anyway.

I haven't reported you, but I do report users who post the most inane, hateful spam over and over again. Rather not deal with them; just want them out.

I don't report someone just b/c I disagree with them. It's just the obvious trolls with racial epithets or some nonsense.
