as God in most holy words has treated the human race, in jealousy, obedience, "dictating" your child's future and the like according to YOUR will ?

No, I would treat my children as God does in his most holy Word by lovingly giving them boundaries, directions and guidance so that they may flourish and come to know me better.

BTW....my daughter and I have a very open, loving relationship, and she is an intelligent, well educated, person who thinks for herself....and she is only 18!

I am not a parent but I will agree with another who said it. As a parent you must set boundaries, and consequences for breaking the rules. Kids left up to their own accord will walk out into the street and get creamed by a truck, children do not think of what will happen if they do something.
As in Gods law or dictates as you have put it, "thou shall not commit adultery" this sin in its self can lead to the destruction of families not to mention the penalty of STD's.
Now as far a a jealous God as you put it. If you have given birth to a son but yet he wishes to go hang out with Joe pedophile and disown his real father, that father would be very hurt.
As far as the punishment for not following God, if a person chose to believe in a different God than the true God they would not be happy in heaven. If a child disowns his family, degrades them, insults them, fights against them. Why would that parent leave him an inheritance. Sounds like common pretty obvious to me..

Nope.. I would treat my children as like this:

Eph 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord.

So that they would do this:

Eph 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Eph 6:2 Honour thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise),
Eph 6:3 that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

I have 3 daughters and I certainly didn't choose to become a parent so as to demand them to worship me, then when they refuse (which would be the most likely outcome) I would not torture and finally kill them. I also do not abandon them and on my return torture the ones that got out of hand. If I did go away and leave them in my house then I would return the moment I realised that they weren't coping, I can't imagine that I would destroy my house with them in it. The other thing that parents usually do is give help to their children that need it the most - certainly they wouldn't kick them out of home - all these things the so-called "Heavenly Father" has done or promises to do in the future. I encourage and relish my daughters' individuality and free-thinking, questionable minds.

God does not dictate our future. He just knows what it will be.
I would like to think I'm the kind of parent who would DIE for my child, like my God did for me.

Maybe you should come over to our side, and then you would feel the Love our Father has for us. If you do not know Him, you cannot know His love.

sadly you seem to think that this is the way God treats us but actually I can tell you that when you are a Christian it feels like anything but in fact it feel like the opposite of what you describe our God to be. I do not feel that I would follow Him if he was exclusively as you describe He is very different when you know Him

Nope. We treat our children as the future of our species. We want to give them every possible chance and opportunity to succeed without us.
