Julia is a nutjob. Julia does the hippity hop. Julia stays out all not and does the boobly bop. and that is why Julia got no running water and believes there are grand building next door. Poor Julia.

Maybe they need the hope to keep them going and out of despair. It is also not a given that just because someone doesn't have running water and material comforts that their life is somehow inferior. Many people give up comfort for devotion. Not saying anything is god or bad - just different.

Actually I have heard that is the way it is in Sri Lanka, they spend thousands on their statues when the people are desperate for decent homes. So you are right.

because in many places like that they need faith to go on inlife .they need A religious outlet to pray at etc.in retro respect its like sertin parts of the world that still beleive in foke remidies for medical problems . they are so poor that is all they got .
