I keep seeing readers saying we were all born sinners. One of those old philosophers (Socrates) said we were all born without sin. How can a newborn baby be a sinner when you have to learn sin first. Maybe you and your children were born as sinners. And maybe that's why your so bitter. Or at least that's what your church has you convinced of. The more I hear about religion, the more i'm glad it's your problem to deal with and not mine. Do'nt be so bitter.

There are so many brain washed people in the U.S. and religious nuts and the church is such big business are people afraid to speak out on the centuries of made up stories and lies.

I met a guy once, he was convinced he was fully realised.
He kept reading poetry to me and grabbing his Balls and telling me he had 'Tantric Power'. He wanted me to join his followers.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't fully realised.

So what would a fully realised being be like?
How could you tell?
Would there be signs?
Would they talk about it?
What do you think?

Ive read a lot of history books & researched the internet, and Hitler based his views on Darwinism. This is wheregot Hitler got his idea of the "Master Race". If that isnt pure evil i dont know what is.

If your an athiest and don't believe in god then fine thats up to you. Its free will. What i have a promblem with are people who try to say that believing in god is pathetic. There was even some who called jesus gay. People who truly believe in god are faithful and at least it shows that you believe in something greater then yourself instead of the evils in this world.

for christians/non christians. how do you feel when someone hands you a tract? Has anyone come to Jesus after reading one? just wondering because I know people who hand them out all the time. I personally would get annoyed, so I'm wondering if that's just a matter of opinion.
thanks!

Recently I read an article that intimated women overplay the pain to get pampering and sympathy which surprised me. Is there any truth in this?

why are people surprised at me when I say that I cannot wait to be there?
I have lung disease and most likely will be dead within 5 years whether I get treatment or not. I have made some bad choices in my life and deal with daily persecution because of my past actions (even from some of my "Christian" bretheren).
So why, when I say I look forward to death and heaven, do people insist I seek psychiatric treatment (which I am btw, so please don't tell me to see a shrink) and not have a "death-wish"? Why should I fight to stay alive, when I really want to go and meet my creator?
I am not considering suicide, but I am considering stopping treatment.
I am really more interested in getting answers from Christians, as that is my faith, but I would be honored to accept answers from other faiths as well.

Hello, all! I pray that you are doing wonderful this afternoon. You know we often think "if God will give us this, or do that for us, we will be happy" Let me tell you something that I was in a position to be a blessing to someone else today, and it wasn't me that did it. It was the Holy Spirit that did it. And do you know that I feel so happy that I feel like I was the one who recieved something? I wish I could explain it to you. It just makes tears well up in my eyes, because I truly realize that God blesses us in so many different ways and today He blessed my soul. Fellow brothers and sisters, God is Good!!!! I just wanted to share with you a bit of praise and I want to tell you all, you can write me if you need prayer or need to talk because I am here. I love you all. Cat

In Internet terminology, a troll is someone who intentionally posts messages about sensitive topics constructed to cause controversy in an online community such as an online discussion forum or USENET groups in order to bait users into responding. They may also plant images and data on networks that others may find disturbing in order to cause confrontation. More specifically a troll is an insult or accusation made against a poster. It would be highly unusual for any internet poster to claim the title of troll, rather a community member may try to deflate a post that is controversial or thought provoking by referring to it as a “troll”.…To call someone a troll is to say that any dispute over a post is not valid not because the issues raised are not valid, but to claim the intent of the poster invalidates the post. As a speech act, the term troll is generally used as an ad hominem argument, attacking the poster rather than the content or issues of the post. …The word likely gained currency because of its apt second meaning, drawn from the trolls portrayed in Scandinavian folklore and children's tales; they are often ugly, obnoxious creatures bent on mischief and wickedness. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

Is it true that Baptists get a special pass for Judgment Day, and go directly to heaven?

While the rest of us will have to stand in line for the Judgment?

I don't think that's fair. I also heard the Mormons get a special pass too.

sex? At last we can have all the guilt-free sex we want and those solid angels people saw in Biblical stories will be there for us.
Not sure what gender angels have if any, but I am sure they will want to cooperate in any way they can to make Heaven a happy place for us.

The 15th August is Assumption Day. In Roman Catholic doctrine it is the end of the Virgin Mary's life on earth. Does anyone know if this is where the word assumption comes from. The infinite verb will be to "Assume". If so why is it called Assumption day.
