I've seen a few questions asking about whether or not God created evil and I thought this question might be relevant. Can people (or God) understand good without understanding evil? If goodness is an attribute of God, does that mean evil must be one of His attributes to? How else could He understand good?

As funny as this question sounds, I've heard that he/she is not a clairvoyant like the media has made him/her to be. instead he/she is supposed to be someone who knows the years of people's deaths or something wierd. Has anyone else heard this?

Then you have to accept that he DOES exist. You can at the most be agnostic to boogymen, but you'd have to be all-knowing to say there is no such an ingenious creature.

But they chosen not to listen.

God protects his people, like the Jews that were being killed and treated badly so many years, God's compassion and mercy over rides the wrong doers, they were all giving a fair chance to back off.
God takes life's when necessary.

I have noticed that most Christians live their lives with a pick and Choose mentality. They pick what fit's thier lifestyle but ignore what contraidicts it.
Ex. I am a nurse and I got into a small debate with a patient who is morbidly obese. They claimed to me that the only reason they were obese is because of genetics. Their Parents passed the genes onto them and as a result they are obese, But when I asked him what he thought of the fact that we shares 98% of the same genes with the Chimpanzees. He said that there is no way this could be true because the bible says nothing about this. So does he just have this opinion because of his religion? And why is it so easy to accept one thing but not the other?

im a 20 yr old Christian female, and i had made a mistake and yes i had sex before marriage.... i repented, talked to God, apologized did everything I knew i could to let him know I was truly sorry, but one thing i'm wondering as i have been reading through my bible ( the mistake happened like 6 months back ) but anyways is that, it says that cheaters, liars, theives or so and fornicators will be damned to hell if they are not reborn, i may be wording this wrong .. i apologize im very tired... but I have not ever been baptised, so does that mean that I am not truely forgiven by my sins from God???

white skinned people got their white skin due to millions of years of the evolutionary struggle that mainly took place in extremely cold places. the white skin was the means they developed in order to survive

black people developed a darker skin because they evolved in africa and other hot and harsh lands. A darker skin was the best way to survive in harsh lands.

people who inhabit the himalayas and other mountain areas developed a unique bone structure and facial features which gave them the chance to survive in those enviornments

this applies to every human of different color and race.

well my question is this,

How can anyone who learns about evolution and understands it become a racist?

But its very easy for a religious person to become a racist

your comments?

Why should have God said something in the Bible about a extint group of species that existed milions of years before man?

And why the problem seems to be with dinosaurs specificaly? I mean, in therms of paleonthology i think unicelular beins like foraminifera's fossils are much more important in therms of studies that try to discover how was the enviroment millions of years ago. So, should God have mentioned Dinosaurs only because they are cooler?

Why exactly it is a big set back for Religion if He did not in fact mentioned dinosaurs for anyone and we had to figure that out for ourselves?

Believed that God exists. True. He was also, possibly, the most brilliant scientist to have ever lived. Also true. So if all scientists were like him (sharing in a belief of God), would we progress faster?

"God helps those who help themselves". So if each scientist believed that God was helping them in their studies then perhaps we would have more Einstiens cropping up?

NOTE: I'm not saying that they should totally rely on God to do all the work for them, that's a horrible misconception.

THIS time, if you're gonna (try) and debunk it - at least attempt to add references to prove your point (as the author of this has!) Without them, you simply are ranting without proof. (How unusual for a christian...)

I HAVE some of the books the author refers to, and those references ARE CORRECT, so you'll really have to come up with better than: "Conspiracy theory" and "Lies".

I found out recently I had some SS officers in my family that fled to Uruguay, Paraguay and Switzerland at the end of WW2. Would you have a tough time living with that knowledge? I'm ashamed of where I came from now. Why would God do this?

Just the other day I saw a special on the Science Channel where a paleo-scientist found actual preserved T-Rex dino tissue. Apparently the unique meduim the dino was preserved in made it possible. Its not yet clear whether enough DNA exists in the discovered tissue for cloning, but the discovery brings the whole fantasy squarley into the realm of possiblity because we know that if the DNA exists, the technology for cloning is already there.

So, how does this effect your religious beliefs, the idea of "mere man" bringing back a species God supposedly wiped out and failed to mention in any of his supposed religious books.

This has gone on for centuries. Why are there so many branches of Christianity for example, Lutherans, Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses. Any normal person would wonder why, if there was a God, let people know which one, assuming there is one, is right?

"When you were very young, you sang the joyous Song. Open to Soul, you were undisturbed by the world around you. One day, your serenity went away. You do not remember when or how...but you will get it back, for it never left. You are father to that happiness; you know it exists whole and complete within you. You know it can hear you calling to it." --We Who Dream.
