Trying to compensate for something that is missing in their life? Or they are just a bully, that never learned how to grow-up.

They can take that "pity" and place it somewhere else, I do not need, desire, or want it. What a waste of time and energy? Why not "feel sorrow" for people who really need that kind of feeling / attitude? Like maybe someone in Darfur??

How is "witnessing" people NOT to believe different than witnessing people to believe? You are hypocrites, because you do the same thing you say we do! Aren't you on here to pull people into your belief that there is no God?

Because you're pitiable yourself. You are also insecure. Only insecure people make fun of others.

I wonder what it is that you dislike about yourself that you feel the need to make fun of others for their beliefs.

How sad that is! Learn to love yourself and have confidence in yourself, and you won't want to try to be cool be mocking others. It only make you look pitiable, to use your words.

because you can always make fun but can you come up with any answers??? having a belief system as humans is what we do...but having one answer that fits all seems impossible doesn't it?? because if we did have one answer what else would we live for??? wouldn't that erase our seven deadly sins???? that's what Jesus promised us and that's why people believe...

Mostly because it's fun, and there is always the faint hope that one might listen and learn the error of his ways. To my considerable surprise, this has actually happened -- and on more than one occasion.
