That's the problem, if I believe in god then I'll have to believe in everything else that cannot be disproved. On the other hand if I do not believe in god then I cannot believe in those sexy anime girls that will one day take me away to their paradise where will have endless orgies. See, its all about what you want.

I'll agree with you on 1 thing. You're right, the boogyman is very relative to God.
If there were a large amount of people who actually did believe that the boogyman did exist and worshipped him and killed people who did not believe in him ect ect i would certainly reflect that opinion of him back to believers. There's no way that you can or cannot prove that he exists, anything for that matter which has no material form is as such.

I am a Christian. Granted, I do not know what others have seen, or why they see it? There could be some explanation for it, even scientific or spiritual. I just do not know. You are correct I would have to be agnostic on this. I have always said that when people claim they see something, I can not positively say they did not.
...incidentally, your logic also proves that no one should be an atheistic. Applying the same scenario to God, by your logic you should not be an atheist, but an agnostic at the least. Was that one of the conclusions that you wanted us to reach?

Well, I know that the boogyman no longer exists because I was on the hunting trip in which we hunted down and killed the last known boogyman. Ten high powered silver bullets were used to bring him down. And as proof that he was the last one, just before he died he confessed that he was the last one. We did not have a tape recorder, but you can take my word that he said it. ( All the other witnesses have died though, so I am the only one left to tell the story of the last boogyman hunt )
You can sleep safe now.

Why do I have to accept the existence of the Boogyman? The majority of theists to not employ the argument that you are trying to refute.

The Bible says demons exist, and that if we could see them all we would be in constant fear. What you call the boogyman is probably a demon whose presence you sense but cannot always see. Jesus told us that if we believe in Him we can resist the evil power of demons. There is no conflict in believing in god and believing in the existence of evil spirits.
Read the Bible and see for yourself.

The Boogyman is a agent of Satan but is still under the control of God. Just as Satan is.

It is difficult to prove (or disprove) a negative... that in no way detracts form arguments advocating a particular position pro existence.

Thanks for nothing. I had forgotten completely about the boogyman. Now there is one more god that I had better pray to just in case it is the one true god. Please stop posting. I now pray to 230 gods, just in case, and I don't have time in the day for anything else, or for any more gods.
