Just watch this video. This girl knows what she's talking about.
Don't worry, it's not sexy or funny, it's just logical.

Answer man,
Yeah, I mean who could take a woman seriously. Especially one so young? Oh wait, she DOES make many good points and is 100% right too.
So where does that leave you? Oh yes, a tired, lonely old bigot who wouldn't recognize logic if it bit him on the overly-large backside.
You have my pity, you really do.

Considering that they give more importance to the bible than history and scientific books, it is not hard to figure out why many in the States are very ignorant. I used to live there, some americans said to me that Germany was a third world country, another one said that Monaco is in Marocco, another one said that Italians are french, the list goes on and on.
It is very scary!

I think you have all you information wrong, Now I don't pay much attention to you-tube, but most of all Sciencetific discovery or maybe Invention is the correct word I need to use, came from America, & We have passed our knowledg onto other countries, The automobile came from the USA, the computer, many new medical devices, & so on. Yes it is true now that other counties makes these parts or Items, But the knowledge came from the United States. Another reason I know is that I just retired from General Electric Co. In my 38 yrs with them, I have saw just about evey nation on the face of this earth coming through our factories on a tour taking pictures on how to make a dishwasher.

I don't know if her percentage is accurate, but she does make some good points. Probably an equal or larger percent of Americans are Biblically illiterate.
The Bible itself tells us to search the scriptures to see if someone teaches a true doctrine. Those in Acts 17:11 were called "noble" because they searched the scripture to see if the things Paul taught was true.
Whether science, religion, or most other disciplines of learning, we should investigate the things taught. How do you know it's true (or false) without study on your own?

I wouldn't waste time on that video.
But can you define "scientifically-illiterate"? If I don't know how an automobile works, does that make me scientifically-illiterate? If I can use a computer for,say word processing, spread sheet and the Internet but cannot fix it (problems with hardware or software), am I computer illiterate (i.e. scientifically-illiterate)?
On the other extreme, if I don't understand, say, quantum mechanics or the string theory, does THAT make me scientifically-illiterate?
Of course, if you define "scientifically-illiterate" as those who do not accept macroevolution AND who don't know how to fix a computer AND who don't know how an automobile works AND who cannot explain quantum mechanics and string theory AND who cannot apply Newton's laws of motion to send a space module to the moon AND ... AND .., THEN 100% of the ENTIRE world population is scientifically-illiterate.

How impressive. A 16 year old girl telling me how to live life and what to believe. I just about busted a gut laughing. Who takes this child seriously? Did she make the video on daddy's computer up in the bedroom mommy decorated right after bringing precious home from ballet practice? If this type of pablum is considered important or interesting, America really has gotten dumb.

From what I saw this very young girl thinks we are illiterate because we refuse evolution.
America became the most powerful nation in the world because of our literate Word of God, the Holy Bible. We are becoming illiterate because we refuse to read the Bible. Without the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things, we are becoming illiterate.
She's blaming religion and I'm blaming the lack of the Holy Spirit within Americans. Our churches are watered down, lukewarm and useless. Try a few different churches from your own and you will wonder where is the Lord in this church.
Satan has crept into our churches and the devil is preaching in the pulpits and America is confused.
The Word of God teaches that Judgment begins in the house of God.
This young girl has been hurt by an evil church group who became a stumbling block to her. How many Americans suffer from being hurt by church members? How many Americans have left churches before they joined thinking that all the church wants in their money? How many Americans have been to churches that never once gave an invitation to make a public profession of their faith in Christ Jesus? How many Americans have left churches wanting to know Jesus better but never once were they told how to learn more about Christ Jesus? Or how to be baptised? Or what it takes to be saved? Or what it takes to have a relationship with Christ? Or what is being born again? People walk in and walk out of churches without ever being taught about the cross of Jesus.
I wish 95% of Americans were Christian. If the little girl thinks science can teach her things. She has no idea what the Holy Spirit can teach her.
