Baptism has nothing to do with forgiveness. If you asked God He has forgotten your sin.

I'm not gonna attempt to answer this. But, I will say that all these answers are from strangers and I really think that you should seek a good friend, someone you trust, for advice. Give the answers here thought but realize that none of the people who gave them actually know you.
I'm not the most Biblically versed individual and I could look up some scriptures relating to forgiving, repenting and fornication but I am pretty sure that Mary Magdalene is a great example of Jesus Christ's forgiving nature. Honestly I hope this eases your conscience more than answers your question.

As a female who did a mistake similar to this, i can definitely see why you worry. Mine was a little worse, because i was baptised in the midst of my sin. I started to worry, when i repented, thinking, "i was busy sinning, so did my baptism count?" But now i realize that God was with me even when i did wrong, trying to guide me along the right path, and that baptism was just another step to where i am today.
It is a wonderful thing to repent. It is also a wonderful thing to grow closer to God. All people are fornicators, whether or not they actually physically do such things, for to "look at her with lust in your heart" is the rough equivalent of adultery/fornication. Thus all people are going to Hell.
Whether or not you would go to Heaven if you died this minute, you should nevertheless consider getting baptized. It is not a hard thing. The Bible makes it clear that baptism is intended for all believers. But don't panic into "ohmigosh i could be going to hell!" mode, because baptism should not be rushed, nor should it feel forced. Consider baptism like this: your marriage to God. It is a promise forevermore. Just as you wouldn't want to rush your marriage, don't rush your baptism. Talk to God about it. Read your Bible every night. Start inquiring at your Church, if you have one, and if you don't then find yourself a nice little community of believers you trust.
In baptism, so the Bible says, we receive the Holy Spirit into our hearts. This does not mean that the Holy Spirit is not with us beforehand. But if you consider the baptism like marriage, the Holy Spirit before now is only your Boyfriend. After it, He will be your Husband. And one shouldn't get too arrogant, because its always possible afterwards to become divorced. But just as personal relationships between humans need to progress to survive, so does the personal relationship between created & Creator need to progress in order to survive.
I must say i am very happy for you! Let it be known that the angels in Heaven rejoice more over one soul who repents than a thousand souls who are "good" and do not need to repent. Unlike me, you have the opportunity to really enjoy your baptism, as repentant and 100% sincere all the way, nothing holding you back. Don't put it off, thinking, "i'll do it when i'm 30 or so," start considering it. Under such baptism you will never have to worry about your sin, ever again: you know it is 100% gone forever. God will not even remember it. And this will guide you into becoming the woman God wants you to be for this world.
Peace, prayers, blessings, and a smile.
:)

You have asked for forgiveness and have accepted Christ. The reason there are so many protestant forms of Christianity, Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian and so on is because in differences in beliefs like your question. Just talk to some people and read the bible where they get there point of view from and see if it means the same to you in the context as it does to them. If you do not belong to a church you should be able to go talk to a minister explain how you feel and that you have accepted christ and give you a private or just a few people there baptism.

Like confession the idea of being reborn, or baptized was done in the idea that if we share our sin with the public we feel more shame and are less likely to repeat the mistake. But I honestly believe that your error is between you and who you believe god to be. If you feel you most do something then speak to god. Ask forgiveness in a true way and I am sure you will be forgiven.

Dear Christian friend,
I am an elderly person and I have been much more and more frequently guilty then you.I have to turn to God for forgiveness all the time.If you have truly asked the Lord to forgive you then He certainly has.Regarding baptism;it is a symbol. To be truly baptised is to go into the water and go completely under and be baptised in the name of Jesus. It symbolises the burial of our Saviour..Acts 2:38.God bless you.

Friend, Questions like this makes many afraid, because they don't really understand the scriptures, they only know what interpretation their parents or grand parents told them,. The New Birth is not Repenting, Nor baptism, But Receiving the Holy Ghost is the new Birth, You are born again only one time, Now please let me finish, You say you are a Christian, I won't deny that, You made a mistake, God is mercyfull to all who truely repents, But Jesus said ye must be born again, & On the day of Pentacost, that is what brought on the new Birth, Did not Jesus tell Peter after Peter had walked with Jesus for a long time, Jesus told Peter after you are converted. to strengthen your brother, Jesus knew that Peter had walk with him But Jesus also knew that Peter did not have the Holy Ghost, I have always typed the new birth with that of natural birth, First you have Conception, That in the spiritual term is repentence, Then you have the water breaking, in the spiritual term that is our water Baptism in water by complete immursion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Then you have the actuall birth of a child, That is the spirit of life going into that little baby, The same with the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Then you have a baby born & then you also have in the spiritual term a new birth or born again christian. Now does a baby in the natural all at once begin to walk, No, never do you in your new birth, You are in the natural & spiritul Feeding on milk, You made sometimes fall & trip, But do you just lay there & not get back up & try again, as you grow you will learn to know how to walk & then as time goes on you will come off the milk & begin to eat some meat. So to answer your question friend, You made a mistake, Ask God to forgive you & he will, You don't need to beg God nor scream out loud thinking he can heard you better, God knows the very intents of you heart. Every Chritian will make mistakes, we are still in the learning process, I have been a Christian for over 37 yrs. & I am still learning, when I see that I made a mistake, I just take it to God & leave that mistake there with him & go on living for him never to commit that mistake again. You need to be baptized in water by complete immursion in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, & then live for God, because the baptism of the Holy Ghost is a promise from God. Repentance is what cleans you from sin in your soul, water baptism is what cleanse you from the bad deeds done in your flesh. Now the question comes up well what if I make mistake later on, do I need to be re-baptized, I will say NO, but that is between you & God. I have seen many being baptized many times, because they think well yesterday I got mad at someone so I must have sin still in the flesh, So they once again are being baptized, I will only say if you are not satisfy with what your baptim has done do it again but if you are satisfy, then ask God to forgive you & go on with God. Remember, When you are truly saved, Your soul is what has eternal life, this body has not YET been redeemed, We still fight against the flesh, The spirit wars against the flesh, But soon our bodies will be change & we will then have a redeemed body. So just because someone falls a little get back up & ask God to forgive you, & go on with God, So I will say you need to be baptized in water by complete imursion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

God is tender loving, holy, mercifull, and gives grace to the humble.
Your guilt is one way of seeking God's forgiveness. Ask his mercy and live a life that is pleasing to Him.
Romans 12:1-2. Always remember we cannot cheat God. He knows what is in our hearts.
Stay away from temptation and specially atheists...

During the continued campaign against the Ammonites, one of the saddest episodes of David’s life occurred. King David of Jerusalem began to sin when , upon observing from his rooftop beautiful Bath-sheba bathing herself, he entertained wrong desires. (Jas 1:14, 15)
After learning that her husband Uriah was off to war, David had the woman brought to his palace, where he had relations with her.
In time the king was notified that she was pregnant. No doubt fearing that Bath-sheba would be publicly exposed and put to death for immoral conduct, David quickly sent word to the army that Uriah should report to him in Jerusalem, with the hope that Uriah would spend the night with his wife. But even though David got him drunk, Uriah refused to sleep with Bath-sheba because the army was out in the field. (De 23:9-11; compare 1Sa 21:5.) Even when David made him drunk, he still refused to sleep at home. (2Sa 11:1-13)
In desperation, David sent him back to the army with secret instructions to the commander Joab to have Uriah put in the front lines, where he would surely be killed. David used his Field Marshal, General Joab, as a tool in having the faithful Hittite military officer, Uriah, abandoned to certain death in battle. The scheme worked. Uriah died, his widow observed the customary period of mourning, and then David married the her before the townspeople were aware of her pregnancy. . Thus Uriah died in ignorance of the fact that King David had violated his wife, Bathsheba. (2 Sam. 11:1 through 12:9; 1 Ki. 15:5)
Jehovah God was watching, however, and uncovered the whole reprehensible matter. If the Creator had permitted the case involving David and Bath-sheba to be handled by the Jewish human judges under the Mosaic Law, both of the wrongdoers would have been put to death, and of course, the unborn offspring of their adultery would have died with the mother. (De 5:18; 22:22) However, Jehovah dealt with the case himself and showed mercy to David because of the Kingdom covenant (2Sa 7:11-16), no doubt because David himself had shown mercy (1Sa 24:4-7; compare Jas 2:13) and because of repentance that God observed on the part of the wrongdoers. (Ps 51:1-4)
But for all his faults and gross sins, David always showed the right heart condition by repenting and begging Jehovah’s forgiveness.
Written by David, check Psalms 130:3-4 to see how he felt regarding Gods mercy and forgiveness.

...RELAX !!! ...God will forgive you if you truly ask Him. God is a loving and forgiving God. About Baptism... that is "your" decision... it's not necessary to be Baptized but it is a wonderful decision to make and experience as an outward sign of your dieing to "self" and being re-born of God... (many will tell you, you must be Baptized... not so... ask those who tell you this... "was the thief on the cross, next to Jesus ever Baptized when Jesus said to him..."today, you will be with me in Paradise"...? again... it's a wonderful and good decision to make but it won't keep you from God... (Read the Scriptures and learn... be blessed.)
Shabat Shalom...

Once you offer up your sins to Heavenly Father and ask for his forgiveness He will forgive you. Is it true that throughout the Bible that it is taught that we must repent and be baptized yes, baptism is only one step in seeking complete forgiveness and following God's commandments.
