Just the other day I saw a special on the Science Channel where a paleo-scientist found actual preserved T-Rex dino tissue. Apparently the unique meduim the dino was preserved in made it possible. Its not yet clear whether enough DNA exists in the discovered tissue for cloning, but the discovery brings the whole fantasy squarley into the realm of possiblity because we know that if the DNA exists, the technology for cloning is already there.

So, how does this effect your religious beliefs, the idea of "mere man" bringing back a species God supposedly wiped out and failed to mention in any of his supposed religious books.

I think if this occurs, there will be a lot of people praying when the Dino gets loose.

Mere man where given the brains which make all science and technology and biology possible. Why hasn't any other species ever come close through evolution? Man and only man has made a written history.
Why would they write about what did not exist by that time?

Absolutely no effect. The bible makes mention in several places of beast of gynomous size...take a gander at Job which is one of the earliest books of the Bible. It is believed that certain species of "dinosaurs" exsisted up until the 14th century though they were rare. There has never been in dispute the existance of these animals...what is debated is how old the earth is, carbon dating techniques and etc. The Bible also teaches at length about the "beast"...that beat is knowledge or technology as symbolized in Revelation. Its okay...you almost had a good question there...keep trying. Love in Christ, ~J~

1) doesn't affect my religious beliefs
2) I assume that you're talking about the bible. Here's a partial list of animals not mentioned specifically in the bible
..Llama
..Giraffe
..Warthog
..Zebra
..Tiger
..Catfish
..Lobster
..Dinosaur
..Elk
..Panda Bear
..Raccoon
..O'possum
..Kangaroo

I know that you will find it horribly shocking, but there are *science* books that actually don't mention any of these creatures as well! Surely, no science book could *possibly* have any truth in it if it doesn't mention any of these species.

Another mind-bending question solved by Captain Obvious

P.S. I didn't realize that God had wiped out the dinosaurs.

Not sure where you're driving with this but always remember, if God allows something then it will be in his will. If it fails, it was not within his will.

You seem to be a real smartass, you know? Like you're insinuating that man can do to surpass our Grand Creator, when we know if Jehovah allows it, then it will come to pass. He occasionally allows miracles to happen. Who do you attest these miracles to? That is the concern here like if you're misled and enjoy being misled, or if you apply intelligence and realize that nothing will happen without the will of Jehovah God.

Trust..

How would bringing back dinosaurs affect religion? I suppose it might affect some, but the vast majority don't deny the existence of dinosaurs.

Where do you guys come up with this stuff?

Why would that have an effect on religion?
We do not doubt the existance of dinosaurs, just the time peroid that they are claimed to exsit is in question.

It would be a great accomplishment if scientists used their own materials to create something "God wiped out." But they can't. They have to use God's material.

None. Believers are not interested in anything as inconvenient as evidence; it requires work to deal with it -- as well as intelligence.
