Aren't there trillions of stars, billions of Galaxies..with possibly million/billions of hospital planets?
If we have so many different forms of life here on Earth, in all kinds of inhospital environments ..why couldn't there be life, let alone Intelligent life on other planets? Why do we limit the ability of God, by saying....no there is no intelligent life on other planets, no ufos, no interdimensional life forms...no?
Why would God limit Himself to one planet? Couldn't God handle life on millions of planets at the same time?

Okay, the "Second Coming" has just occurred just like it says in the Holy Bible (your preferred version). How do you REALLY know it's really Christ the King who has arrived and not a super-advanced extra-terrestrial who has studied our planet for decades and used highly advanced technology to fulfill the prophecy down to the very last detail to fool you? ( I ask this question because years ago an episode of "Star Trek - TNG" explored this very topic. Transporters and holograms can easily fool those who have no concept of what they can do.)

But seriously, HOW would you really know? Simply by "faith" alone? What if you're wrong and your "Jesus" turns out to actually be a disguised "harvester" from Epsilon Eridani who wants to turn you hamburger? (Food for thought.)

I’m beginning to believe that life is meaningless. I’m not talking about hopelessness, as in depression, but a Nihilism-like definition of meaningless. And I’m feeling like dying, because I, we, have no purpose, comprehensible truth, or essential value.

Example: Why put in the effort in finding a wife or true love, or whatever word you wanna use, when other people already had her, and probably got her easier and faster thin me. And I’ll think I found someone special because she played hared to get with me.

And I just wanna let go of life: suicide.

Do you think I have a problem, or do you think I’m way too intellectual?

And please don’t your decisions based on my examples, just the first part.

This book has such wonderful lessons, if everyone followed it and acted as pious and humble as it advises us to, the world would be such a better place!

If it finds ice (and maybe bacteria) it will be a major step toward PROVING evolution is correct as the origin of life.I for one hope it does because it is truly a peace-keeping mission in light of the religious wars in the Middle East.

Ya'all really need to start over. Much of your religion is not intrinsic to the New Testament but, rather, a group of so-called priests who got together a few hundred years after Jesus died and decided they would pull a bunch of wacko ideas out of their backsides. The Council of Nicea being prime example. Who ever said those men had the right to do that? Nobody but themselves.

My last question for the day...

Let's pretend that Bonsai Bobby, our lovable plant lover regular funny guy extraordinaire from the Religion and Spirituality forum, was to be selected to do a most honorable plant, a bonsai tree.

This plant would be placed in a place of significance and he would be given the honor of trimming it to be any shape of spiritual significance. It would be there as a symbol for many future generations to come.

Ahh young grasshopper, what design shall he choose and what is the spiritual symbolism of this design??

Text for Saturday, August 04, 2007
No man can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him.—John 6:44.

We dedicate ourselves, not to a cause or to a work, but to Jehovah himself. The work that God has for his people will change, but their dedication to him remains the same. For example, what he told Abraham to do was very different from what he told Jeremiah to do. (Gen. 13:17, 18; Jer. 1:6, 7) Yet, both of them carried out the specific task God gave them to do because they loved Jehovah and desired to do his will faithfully. During this time of the end, all baptized followers of Christ strive to carry out Christ’s command to preach the Kingdom good news and to make disciples. (Matt. 24:14; 28:19, 20) Doing that work wholeheartedly is a fine way to show that we love our heavenly Father and that we are truly dedicated to him. Without a doubt, baptism opens up the way to many blessings, and it is not a step to be taken lightly.—1 John 5:3. w 4/1/06 16-18 WAIT TO ANSWER!

If god created it, why is it depicted as so sinful and horrible? The human body is beautiful in all forms, why do religions such as Christianity condemn it?

And I don't want your typical answers of because this and this and this and this is what you believe and you've been deceived. I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have heard it my whole life. I've researched all the wonderful things that people say about my church and could probably give you some more but I want to know why people who say they are Christians and I'm not are always saying mean things about my religion like Satan answered my prayer to tell me that my church was true and good, which by the way, might be my favorite that Satan is capable of giving me feelings of peace and joy when I'm praying to my Father in Heaven. Anyways, question still stands, why do you go out of your way to research my religion it bash it? Do you honestly think that will make a difference? Wouldn't you think living a Christlike life and being an example to me would work better? I don't know though. It's just a thought.
