Why does islam ask to face east when praying? Does allah lives in the kabbah? I thought he was everywhere?

He is Omnipotent and lives everywhere! Same as God!

I was beginning to research this, but I quickly got bored and tired, knowing that this is a false religion by its actions anyway. I think they do this for the same reason Christians bow to the cross and do acts of worship to it. Even though the cross can be placed north , south, east, or west. to the worshipper of the cross it makes no difference. AS for me! I will not worship the cross, because this is a form of IDOLATRY.

urrm i think that's just a representation..like of where Allah mainly is..but ofcousre he is evrywhere...islam just wants evryone to pray in the same direction so that the prayer is only to Allah so thats why muslism face east..but i think allah lives in the Heavens?..you know the seven heavens....

They pray towards MECCA. They use to pray towards Jerusalem until Mohammed became mad at the Jewish people. He felt insulted by them and decided to change the direction of prayer.

what if they live one mile east of mecca
so they would have there back to mecca
they will have to look round the world
what wonders to see
if you lived on the north pole surely you would have to face south
