Because men are imperfect and are afraid of difference , greed or just thinking we are better than others. Whether you believe in creation or evolution people will be raciest.

First Hitler was not a Christian, he was an occultist. At times he tried to get the political support of Christians in Germany and even invoked Christian rhetoric (as the link from the post above points out), but in the end Christians discovered his antipathy toward their beliefs. I don't think that any rational philosophy can eliminate racism since racism is not rational. I find racism completely inconsistent with Christianity since the Bible says God created all men in his image (not just white men). Some black American preachers in the 19th century rightly challenged the white ethnocentric view of God saying God was black. To me this is as legitimate and biblical as the European paintings that portrayed God as white. He could also be portrayed as Chinese or any other race. When I feel those tinges of ethnocentricity I think about these things. God is not just white, he is pan-racial. Disrespecting another race means to disrespect the image of God. Unfortunately many hate groups like to quote the Bible and they actually believe the God of the Bible would approve of their hateful and bigoted ways. The other posters were right in noting that Hitler used evolutionist views to justify his racism. I am afraid that logic will not defeat racism whatever religious or philosophical views one espouses since racism is irrational.

Please study the history of the theory of evolution.
Evolutionists have believed and many still believe that the black man is "less evolved" than lighter skinned men. This is racist and wrong, but it is the baggage which evolution comes with. It's kind of ironic how you come on saying the complete opposite. You can try to hide from the truth, but we all know, evolution is used to defend racism.

The Nazis were a cult, religion did not teach them to be racists. Instead, they believed that they were 'better' through their geneology than other people. They did not attack the area around what is known today as Afghanistan, because those people are descendants of Aryans-the Super Race, although they had two completely different religions.

I don't think that is saying anyone is inferior. Just that nature helps living things thrive in the conditions they are in.
If there was no technologies and we lived before there was anything we would all be living in nature. We are living creatures no different than animals, we just have evolved to have intellegence.
This is directed to the people that answered before me.
I think anyone can be racist not because of their religion but because of what they are taught and their life experiences.

They are not related...racism is the belief that a particular race is inferior in some way, either their culture, environment, choices, social status and really has nothing to do with physical evolution.

Why is an eskimo dark-skinned if he lives most of his life in an area of partial sun most of the time. Racism develops from your environment. Believing in false things (evolution included) causes you to be racist.

Science can indeed explain the races, but mankind tends to be filled with hate and jealousy rather than understanding. People who care about science have a chance at understanding. Christians who deny science have no chance, and so are left with nothing but hate.

Yup.
When people finally understand that there is only one "race" in the human race, maybe there will be peace.
After all, the ONLY thing that makes us different, is blood type.
And you are 100% correct about Hitler. He was a devout christian. Here is the proof;

I still don't see how that would end racism!
People judge people....would still happen if everyone believed that.
And Hitler being a Christian, do you no what it is to "REALLY" walk the Christian walk?.....yeah, neither did Hitler.
