First allizdwag, then Ramjet, now Catseyes?

What's going on here???

Unless someone is truly being viciously offensive, why ban others. I don't always agree with everyone, but none of these people to my knowledge are that offensive?

So, why do you think that some people are targeting certain regulars and getting them booted or banned?

do you think all of our questions will be answered when we get to heaven, or will just forget we ever had them?

2007-07-27 17:32:42 · 13 answers · asked by Anonymous

First you say you have to believe in God to go heaven or you go to hell right! But If one religion who believes in the same God but different rules, you say there going to Hell because they don exactly believe your rules for God! Now I am not saying this to all God believers just the ones that do that! Those who do, do that do you really think you are not being hypocrytical?

Do you really think he cares about which God-believing religion is the most important one? I think if I was or believed I was God, that I personally wouldn't care which religion was right, just as long as you believe in me! But I don't believe in God, I am just tired of hearing believers that believe in the same God, but are bickering over other same god believing religions!

Example religions:Christianity, Muslim, Morman ect...

I have several siblings in my family who have witnessed spirits in my childhood home and other varriuos places. At times they were seen by more than one sibling at a time. Being that they were seen by two people at a time, I feel it's pretty credible. Also knowing my bros and sisters are not liars.. I know them to believe they saw what they did. I'm wondering why I haven't had theis profound experiences. Any insight?

Why are we, atheists, required to show evidence ,which we have by the way, for not believing in god. But, Christians are not. All they have for evidence is the Bible. How do you know that someone didn't just make it up to manipulate people. If you read this book without knowing that it was the basis of a religion what would you think of it? What other evidence do you have besides for the Bible?

Or is it that the very act of believing in absurd concepts makes religion what it is? So in other words, religion can be defined as, ‘the belief in absurd concepts which can’t be proven?’ So why do theists till insist that atheism is a religion? Do you think this is a little….absurd?

This fith time I'll lay a file on the table. In doing this I'm probably taking many points from myself, but better the knowledge going out than the points coming in. The File is
the "I R I S H M Y T H CO N C O R D A N C E"

If there is enough interest I'll continure to modernize more files and put up questions as to who might want them. No, there are no strings attached. This kind of thing goes with being an Elder and Librarian of the Lore.

If this file would be of use to you, send me an Answers e-mail with an e-mail address to which I can attach the file. The file have too many characters to post on Answers.

Click on my avatar and check my "fans." That's all I can say. You would be surprised at how careful I am with these files--I have about 20, 000. It's your choice, but please don't scare away those that might wish to avail themselves of these file

Why, when this explains it and does not mean that? What do you think of this?

"He then went on to define precisely what he meant by these deficiencies. In the remainder of the hadîth, some women asked him: "O Messenger of Allah, what is this deficiency in our intelligence and religion?" He replied: "Isn't it that a woman's testimony as a witness is half of the testimony of man?" They said: "Yes." He said: "This, then, is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that when she is in her menses, she leaves off prayers and fasting?" They said: "Yes." He said: "This is the deficiency in her religion."

These are matters of Islamic Law. A woman is neither sinful nor blameworthy because of the prayers and fasts that she misses. She, in fact, receives blessings by obeying Allah and abstaining from those acts while she is menstruating.

Education, logic and reason are very powerful for overcoming belief, but let’s face it; the average believer is not the brightest light bulb in the cupboard. I doubt they could even spell education, logic or reason so these concepts would be like trying to train a dog to eat with a knife and fork. The other option is drugs which can offer effective treatment for the panic and depression that would occur if the believer’s bubbles of ignorance were popped. But drugging them into a zombie like state is surely not the solution.

So are there any other options?

Christians who have gay friends:

1. Has your friendship with gays/lesbians affected your view of whether or not homosexuality is a sin?

2. Has it affected how you read the Bible? (more metaphorical than literal? Or do you still see homosexuality as an "abomination"?)

3. Do you agree/disagree with the what your church says about homosexuality?

Peace be with you.
