(R&S Regulars = Religion and Spirituality Regular participants)
First allizdwag, then Ramjet, now Catseyes?
What's going on here???
Unless someone is truly being viciously offensive, why ban others. I don't always agree with everyone, but none of these people to my knowledge are that offensive?
So, why do you think that some people are targeting certain regulars and getting them booted or banned?

These users have had to start new accounts. It's ridiculous that good people have to do this!!

Yahoo! has some strict rules about the way people can behave in Answers, and it's not always about being kind or polite. If you violate the question and answer format (fail to ask or answer a question), if you ask chatty questions, if you seem to just be point-gaming, then you'll receive a violation, and although it's not clear how many violations you're allowed, you can lose your account pretty rapidly.
Community forums like R&S are more likely to lose "regulars" because some of us just hang out here. We therefore get to know a bit about one another, and the temptation to drift into joking around is pretty great. It's more appropriate to do this via email or on 360 than here, however. Feelings run strong among many participants, and if you rub someone the wrong way, they're likely to report you pretty quickly, and Yahoo staff will then have to pay attention and make a judgment.

It starts off with a troll who asks questions that are obviously offensive ("Why are Atheists so stupid?"). The Atheist responds, and regardless of the answer gets reported. Since Yahoo doesn't appear to moderate anything, a violation notice is sent. Then the user's account gets suspended or deleted, depending on whatever arbitrary rules Yahoo has set.
I once got nailed for calling a troll a "jerk." Given the material I was responding to, I can guarantee that Yahoo doesn't read anything over. "Jerk" was far from the most vulgar and abusive language to be found there.
I just got hit again for telling a troll to use the search function. That's right: A violation notice for telling him to use the search function. They can and will report anything. I'm appealing Yahoo's decision, but I doubt I'll hear a damned thing from them.

Who says they have been booted or banned?
You can change your name daily on here if you want to. Maybe they need a break to deal with the fact it sometimes seems like things are going around in circles.
Sometimes it is harder to know when to say something or it is best to say nothing at all.

My main account is on the verge of being suspended. I am masquerading as a socialist in the politics section for the time being.

Maybe they're thought as too religious/atheistic for R&S (I know it doesn't make sense, but I couldn't think of anything else)
