Why are we....?

Question

Why are we, atheists, required to show evidence ,which we have by the way, for not believing in god. But, Christians are not. All they have for evidence is the Bible. How do you know that someone didn't just make it up to manipulate people. If you read this book without knowing that it was the basis of a religion what would you think of it? What other evidence do you have besides for the Bible?

To me, nature itself is evidence of a higher power. There's no way any of this could have happened by chance. Someone had to have set it in motion.

patriot: I do not expect you to conjure up evidence to support your stance on Atheism. But, as a Christian, I would demand of anyone pushing "religion" at me, to supply me with scientific evidence to support his or her claim that "God" is genuine.
When I made that transformation (not CONformation) to Christianity [ a spiritual relationship with God] from Atheism, I both, proved and can prove that there is scientific evidence that points to a Supreme Creator ["God"]. The problem with either, most Christians and most non-believers is this. His or her prejudices become a barrier to ANY factual truth presented. The ol' adage applies here; "Those convinced against their will, are of the same mindset still" !!!
If you REALLY want some very credible evidence with the science "flavor", get yourself a copy of THE CASE FOR A CREATOR, authored by Lee Strobel. This author introduces interviews with Scientists with the CURRENT information of science, which supplies scientific fact with theology to a large degree. Very interesting reading for those requiring "EVIDENCE" on God's existence- a real eye-opener !!!

How do we wake up each morning? How can we wake ourselves up in the morning? How do we keep breathing, blinking, heart beating? We dont tell ourselves to do this. We dont tell our bodies to digest food. We definitely dont tell our brain to think when it is constantly thinking. How is all this possible? There must be some unseen force driving us bcuz we cant just simply do this on our own bcuz, like the old sayin, We would forget our heads if it wasnt attached to our necks. How did the world form? a Big Bang theory? and life just suddenly created by a particle, of fungus, ameoba? Highly improbable.

I have a beautiful German Short haired Pointer. The other day while she was eating her dog food I couldn't help but look at her majestic rear leg. The way that it was made and the veins protruding looked so intelligently designed that I was awestruck. I couldn't help but think what an awesome God created this dog. That's all the proof I need.

I haven't seen anyone show or ask for a reasonable amount of evidence here,for most people it's just who can push their beleifs around the most.

If you read Matt. 24:29-31, all those signs came to pass IN ORDER, with the exception of the last one(coming in the clouds with great glory), in 2002. Don't worry, though, you weren't the only one NOT WATCHING. I have this documented on my weblog:

That said, blessed is he who believes and DOES NOT SEE. If you have to see it to believe it, theres not much hope. Those that Yahshua healed, raised from the dead, etc. SAW WITH THEIR OWN EYES, yet ultimately, did not believe.

I tried atheism and it was lacking something. Purpose. The only proof I need has been given. If you choose not to accept that proof, I guess you and I will find out at the end of the road who made the right choices.
