The extension of painfull love is Devotion

2007-07-28 03:56:54 · answer #1 · answered by Shripathi Krishna Acharya 5 · 5 0

It's not so much a question of would I ever give it up, it would be what would I replace with it? I mean, how much enjoyment or pleasure has to then be redirected towards other endeavors to distract oneself?

And then there is the ever-disgusting sight of people who don't have to give up the pain of love, who are truly madly and happily in love with another person who feels the same. Unless one lives in the most remote outpost of existence, being around people means eventually watching the crappy miracle of love happening.

So, for me, I gladly take vacations from falling in love, but only until I catch my wind again.

NEVER.
It is such a small pinprick of a pain when the rewards, and the bounty of life are compared to "the pain of love".
If you knew you were going to die a miserable lonely wretch, in slow burning death of pustules, and puss, would you take a needle with the vaccination to do away with all that? And live?
That is all the pain of love will do, a small stab at you, and then you live a healthy life of joy, and restitution having a long life, and quick death of no pain.
Nothing to fear in that my friend. There is no fear in love.
Unless one is fool enough to dwell and pick on the stab of a needle, then the pain is nothing but a forgotten inconvenience, come the end of your life.

There's more than one kind of Love. I think you'll have to be more concise.

The Old Testament says avarice is the root of all evil and the Tao says all pain comes from desire. I think they're both onto something.

it is only pain because you fell to the devils lust. The lord said to not desire the flesh of this world, where his love is not found. 1 John:2:15-16.

My first response would be to say no.

But, in Heaven there will be infinite love and no pain. That's pretty hard to imagine, and I honestly don't know how that will work, but I'm all about that.

Lucky are those who get Viraha (pain of separation from love).

Even rishis, maharishis and brahmrishis are jealous of Radha and gopis.

Only blessed ones are granted this pain by the Lord
