I have been asked to if I don't like Christianity say so. I have been sayimg that on a daily basis for 30 years. I have said it on yahoo many times. That does not mean I do not like people. I have a distaste for "holier than thou" born-agains. Don't we all. I have been accused of being "wishy-washy" I am not. I have a very distinct talent for being able to step outside my own beliefs and look at others. Many have disagreed with me. When they do it with style I am flattered. When they shoot off there mouth,(I am not refering to 10 commancmrnts) she is nice, I tell them they are bi-polar. Which in most cases they do not deny.
My goal is to set mankind on a path to recover what has been lost. The way I draw attention is to say things in the most outlandish way I can so you will talk about it at coffee-break. It works. Don't it.
There is a wedsite: caesar was Jesus summary. It gives a lot more info than I can on that subject. It is not impossible.
I am running out of characters.

Is there anything that is a "fact" that is unproveable?

If so, can you name one?

Just to be clear, this is not about theories.... just the facts... lol

Have you actually looked and compared them?

For those of you that are unaware, the Tanakh is the Hebrew Bible, written in Hebrew for Hebrew speaking people. It is the original from which the Old Testement is supposedly based.

Christians, you say you know your religion is true, but have you really looked at it? Have you once compared the verses where it says something like "so it would be fullfilled" or "as it was written" and etc. to the actual scriptures and their meanings in the Hebrew text?

You know, there's a huge difference when a text is directly translated from Hebrew to English, instead of Hebrew to Greek to Aramic to Slavic to Latin to English. Hebrew to English let's a lot less people have their way with what's passed off as truth. Have you compared your bible to the actual bible?

If so, could you please answer this question as well?

I know you will be close to God and happy in the afterlife, but isn't forever a very long time. What do you propose is the meaning of an eternity in heaven. Is it possible that it is not as good as it seems just as things are on earth?

To say categorically, "There is no God," is to make an absolute statement. For the statement to be true, I must know for certain that there is no God in the entire universe. No human being has all knowledge. Therefore, none of us is able to truthfully make this assertion.

If you insist upon disbelief in God, what you must say is, "Having the limited knowledge I have at present, I believe that there is no God." Owing to a lack of knowledge on your part, you don't know if God exists. So, in the strict sense of the word, you cannot be an atheist. The only true qualifier for the title is the One who has absolute knowledge, and why on earth would God want to deny His own existence?

The professing atheist is what is commonly known as an "agnostic" - one who claims he "doesn't know" if God exists. It is interesting to note that the Latin equivalent for the Greek word is "ignoramus." The Bible tells us that this ignorance is "willful" (Psalm 10:4). It's not that a person can't find God, but that he won't. It has been rightly said that the "atheist" can't find God for the same reason a thief can't find a policeman. He knows that if he admits that there is a God, he is admitting that he is ultimately responsible to Him. This is not a pleasant thought for some.

It is said that Mussolini (the Italian dictator), once stood on a pinnacle and cried, "God, if you are there, strike me dead!" When God didn't immediately bow to his dictates, Mussolini then concluded that there was no God. However, his prayer was answered some time later.

2007-07-27 06:32:19 · 8 answers · asked by 1982 3

the fact that nearly every culture has some story of a Flood, so does that mean dragons exist(ed) because EVERY culture has some story of a dragon...and I'm sure there's some reference in that book about dragons...maybe the Beast was a dragon? And what about that one story about Nessie...that Saint Columbia was at Loch Ness, and a swimmer was being harassed by a giant serpent, then the Good Saint forbade the creature never to harm another human again, and then the monster sped off into the loch...(wasn't in the Bible ((I think)) but he WAS a Saint...so does that mean that Nessie exists then? (I believe she does but ah well) PLEASE LOGICAL ANSWERS ONLY!!!!

I was thinking everytime you guys see a question that goes sorta like:
"Athiest........."
"Atheistsist........."
or any of the endless ways it is misspelled a simple response should be "Are you talking to me?"

What do you think?

I'm not asking whether he will. I am asking what he COULD do and remember if he's omnipotent he can do anything - so don't say he can't.

When I was younger my mother use to make me go to the Mormon Church and one thing I remember is they use to tell the children that if you take your own life you will go to hell.

and in later years one of my friends killed himself and his funeral was in a Mormon Church and they were telling everyone that he is safe and in Heaven now
but if he committed suicide then why didn't they tell everyone that he went to hell like they teach the children in Sunday School?

I had asked a missionary that once and he did not have an answer for me and changed the subject.

And shows you hand-made, unsterilized instruments?
No?
Neither would I.

So, why then, would you ask us to believe someone who uses a bronze-age book of mythology to explain a proven Scientific process like Evolution? Or anything else for that matter?
Sounds kind of silly doesn't it?

It doesn't matter if they have free will, he already know what they will freely choose. In that case, why create someone who you know will suffer in Hell? Wouldn't it be infinitely more good to not create them at all?

A few months ago something happened in my life that made me rethink my life and decide to become more spiritual.
My friend thinks the Self Realization Fellowship would be good for me. They seem cool and I like their views but some of their practices seem strange to me.
What do you guys know or think about them?
