Would a god who did allow it be more or less good than one who didn't?

DONKEY: They will say you can't sin in Heaven, while simultaneously telling you that you have free will in Heaven.

Why does a limited lifetime of sin have to repaid by an eternity of torture?

Fred: Love means not hurting people unless you have to. God doesn't have to allow people to go to Hell. God is not loving.

The Bible teaches eternal judgment.
That means once you depart this life you enter into a fixed state of continued consciousness.
If you hate God in this life, what makes you think you would start loving Him in hell?

I've always wondered if Hell were truly eternal. It doesn't fit with the God I believe in -- I also wonder if people really get sent to Hell, because I can't imagine anyone so evil that they would deserve an eternity of pain and anguish.

I doubt you would be doing nothing less than repenting for your eternity in hell. Unless you were cursing God. Then you could repent some more.
hell is worse than you think.

I would not respect a God who allowed one in hell to repent. My God is a holy God who gives you a whole lifetime to repent. That is enough.

One won't repent in hell because they will not. (please pardon the nonsensical way I phrased it; I mean "choose" when I say "will" the second time) Because they choose not to repent and turn to God, they won't.

Conversely, those in heaven won't sin not because they cannot but because they will not. They willfully choose not to sin and no longer have that tendency within them.

You are given the timespan of your mortal life to accept God's truth. It is in this life that you are guilty of sin, and it is in this life that you must repent of that sin and accept His gift of life. Once this life is over, you either have to accept Jesus' payment of your debt for sin, or you have to pay the debt yourself. Once you're dead, your decision in this life is sealed for all eternity, and there's no going back.

Luke 16:19-29
19"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
22"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23In hell,[c] where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

25"But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

27"He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

29"Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

According to this account in the bible, it isn't so.

Even crazier...what happens if someone sins in heaven? Can you get kicked out?

You want to have it your way all of the time! Do what you want, don't give a hoot and when time to pay up you find you ought to be given your way again.

He said what He meant and He meant what He said. But, you can have it your way, if you wish.

Think about love for a moment. That would not be fair, would it? Lovely idea though.
