And shows you hand-made, unsterilized instruments?
No?
Neither would I.

So, why then, would you ask us to believe someone who uses a bronze-age book of mythology to explain a proven Scientific process like Evolution? Or anything else for that matter?
Sounds kind of silly doesn't it?

Oh and don't say anything as stupid as "but they did'nt perform surgery in the bronze-age" because they did.

Paladin,
Scary but true. Flint scalpels and shaking rattles to dispel the demons. Oh man I can see it now. And when people die the charlatan can just say "they did'nt have enough faith" that's what "faith" healers do.

I wonder why Christians would go to a physician at all if they believe in god's plan and everything

By that logics, we should toss out all mathematics, because they date from the same era as the Old Testament. Aristocle and compay were contemporaries of the Old Testament kings. The earliest mth text date from the times of Moses. The Sumerian tablets contain book keeping information from the time of Abraham.

So should be dismiss all math because it was formed in the bronze age?

Some things are "truths" regardless of the age in which they are discovered. Such as the truth that 2+2=4, or the truth that murder is wrong. Human nature has not changed in the 3500 years since the scriptures were began. Nor have the moral laws would should govern their conduct. It is still wrong to cheat on your spouse, lie in court, steal, murder, or desire to harm your neighbor because of his possessions.

Do not be so quick to dismiss something because it hs been around for centuries. Perhaps it is an eternal and ageless truth that still has value in the world today. Such as the truth of God's existence.

Good point.

The difference is that our Science knowledge was not complete in the bronze age, and Catholics have nothing against Science.

The word of God is complete with Jesus, there is nothing new to add, human nature is not changing, and God's law that brings us happiness on earth as well as eternal happiness does not change it is a constant. We needed air to live with the very first human, we still need air to breath, it is a constant.

Peace be with you.

Actually, with the right kind of advertising, "bronze age surgery techniques" might appeal to a great many people...especially in California.

Deja vu - I think we have been through this before. lol!

Well - evolution isn't a proven scientific process - yet, that explains everything, the bible wasn't written during the Bronze Age, the bible isn't used to explain evolution, and to the best of my knowledge, there isn't any registered doctors that are using Bronze Age surgery techniques - did surgery exists already during the Bronze Age? - nor use handmade instruments.

Btw, any idea when the Bronze Age was?

Yeah. I don't have any problem whatsoever with people who believe in organized religion. Whatever that religion may be. What I do have a problem with is when someone gets in my face and tries to impose their own religious beliefs on me. Then they always cry around if my non-religious beliefs are imposed on them.

The authors of the Bible didn't even know what caused disease. Is it any wonder they came up with some sky-daddy to explain everything?

Why do preachers go to doctors at all? Shouldn't God be more powerful than an earthly doctor?

It is a fallacy to argue a point by saying something is too old. We know that in philosophy it is pointless to say something doesn't work because it is too old.
