Don't you love your friends? Of course it's in a differen way than your spouse, kids, mom/dad, brothers/sisters...but you still love them right?
Also, I don't do any foot washing/kissing...only some do that. But why would you, if you truly believed Jesus is the son of God, have a problem doing that?

thats the beauty of it though, when you get to a certain point, you don't care what anyone thinks, because you love the Lord
