i asked a question earlier asking yall's perspective on the bible, heaven && hell, God, and other things..
but now i wanted to ask you about commandmentsin your religion or if you have any at all.
In Christianity, as most people know, we have the 10 commandmenst. Does your religion have anything similar??

Please note that I am not any sort of preacher or other type of teacher in religion. I am a proud Christian and a soon to be high school student. But I think that this needs consideration and I feel quite strongly about it.
When all things are crumbling around someone and the world seems to end... whether it be life or spirituallity, death or delima, survive on the sole fact that if there is nothing left to hold on to remember that life will always put itself back together. That is the one sole truth on a persons life in this world because everything must reconstruct even if it does so in a completly different way then it was before. This truth is the one thing on this earth that can never be broken and never be changed. That is what I believe, my personal opinion and to those who oppose it, I shall not be offended. But my plea to the humans in pain on this world that can find nothing to hold on to is that there is a truth left that will always be there to cling to. Things that go wrong will not stay wrong. Things that look bleak will one day look clear. Everything will be put back together even if in a way one does not expect it. Hang on to this truth if there is nothing left to cling to and I believe it could save lives.

Always rember that it is God who gave us this unbeatable life-line if ever are we forced to use it.

I'd like to see how you'd explain this phenomenon:

IF -- God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever...

...and Christians have the Spirit...and are led by the Spirit...

THEN...

WHY have dearly held Church beliefs and dogma NEVER remained static? Why have they continually changed and evolved?

WHY are practices and beliefs formerly considered base or heretical now the norm in Christianity?

I try hard not to but I fail sometimes. I mean I'm only human and can and will admit my mistakes to God and ask for forgiveness and then I try not to commit them again.

Muslims believe that Jesus is Christ (Surah 3:45), was born of a virgin birth, and performed miracles. If a Muslim says he is a Christian also, isn't he correct? Muslim means one who submits to the will of GOD. Since Christians and Jews submit to GOD, could they technically be considered a Muslim?

Why not focus on our simularities instead of our differences? If you're a None-Mormon LDS going to a Mormon LDS youth activety, is it better not to say? Why?

I know that a lot of the confilcts in the middle east is due to religious differences, which I think is ridiculous. And it seems that a lot of people do or don't do things just based on their religion, instead of on common sense and/or logic. I'm sure a lot of religious people will say that they make great decisions thanks to religion, but that is not always the case. For some I'm sure, but not all. It also seems that a lot of people could lead more eventfull, interesting lives if they didn't let their religion hold them back.

In Nestor [Deadly]'s question "Atheism????" offered up about 20 minutes ago, he/she stated:

"To ask us how we know there is a God
based on scienctific evidence,
is like me asking to give me scientific evidence
telling me how you know you love your mother, or children."

To which Diane responded:

"Chemicals are released that indicate love, affection etc. as well as body heat signatures.. Science can document the effects of love.. proving it exists chemically.. "

which is, of course, true.

Does anyone know of any studies that have examined the physiological response of the faithful to the presence of external stimuli associated with their God? As an example, say, an EKG study testing whether Christians respond in a similar manner to that described above when shown a picture of Jesus on the cross?

Hopefully will get a few good responses here... I don't think the existence or robustness of such studies depends on one's faith.

=)

my top fear since i was a kid is seeing a ghost or spirit. When i was 13 in my room at night i had saw one walking around and around. i was soo scare so my parent thought of moving to a new house. So we did, a brand new house. But even though its a new house i still have that frighten feeling in me always. at night i would "think" i heard something, but then it wasn't. I am very confuse and very scare at the same time. Or sometime i would wake up in the middle of the night scaring the heck out of me. I would also be afraid to go use the bathroom.
so i was wondering if there is any useful tips of overcoming my fear, i tried with nightlights, and listening to music at night. But it still wont work..

I mean if Jesus is the messiah, how can you let him die on a cross for you. Take care of your own sin to get into heaven, for he came for the sinner, not the rightous. Seek his face to become perfect in his rightousness Hosa 10:12......but tell me how you love him? if it is not with rightousness. For if God hates sin, there must be a way to conquer it with in you, or your God is nothing more then a weak spirit who can not do all things. YEA I killed my son for you.....what is their no love for Jesus?

I am a member of a church that is in an organization. What can I do if I have a pastor that goes to one member and talks about me and makes the other members turn against me and then the pastor comes to me and talks about other members trying to make me turn against them. I left that church for 6 months because of that but then God told me to go back. This is where God has put me and I know it..Who do I go to..
