Why not focus on our simularities instead of our differences? If you're a None-Mormon LDS going to a Mormon LDS youth activety, is it better not to say? Why?

The church has NEVER focuses on their similarities to anyone outside their chapel, only how different they are, that they are a peculiar people, and only 'they' possess the truth, and everyone else is clearly wrong and/or lead by Satan.

This does not foster the emotion of "hate" as much as "I'm really better than you but I won't tell it to your face right up front, but I'll sent the missionaries instead" attitude.

Did this change recently? Or are you guys just softening your stance a little bit?

Hmm, I used to teach piano to two boys in a family that used to belong to the RLDS church. I couldn't tell the difference between them and Mormons on the outside or lifestyle in general. Everyone has fingers and plays the piano the same. Have a happy day, and I send you a gummy bear.
P.S. The two boys were great piano students.

Mormons believe that the Reorg'ed Mormons are Apostates and therefore evil just like every other church.

This came up numerous times while I was a Mormon and everyone pretty much shared the same sentiment.

Nah, I don't hate anyone. I must say that I really admire the thought process in this question...about focusing on similarities instead of differences. I think focusing on our similarities would help us gain a better understanding of each other.

Mormons don't necessarily hate members of the Re-organized church. However, I do believe they are viewed as heretics.

I have a couple of Mormon friends. I don't think that LDSers are taught to hate anybody.

No, we don't hate them. They are just not a part of our faith. I have friends who are R-LDS. We agree to disagree on who the prophet should be.

I most certainly don't hate anyone!! I might disagree with someones beliefs... but that's not a reason to like or dislike that person!

They don't hate them... They do believe that they are incorrect in some areas. But I think all religions think they are the most correct. It's certainly not a cause for hate.

Cheese and crackers: Shouldn't you add sour grapes to the name? It would certainly be more accurate.
