Are we holding them to a standard higher than that which we hold ourselves to, or are we holding them to the standard for which their religion professes to set forth for all who claim it?

if you read through Genesis, you'll see that Adam and Eve have other children, and one of them became Cain's wife. and their children intermarried, and so they made the human race proliferate.

here's my question: what part of the bible did marrying a family member become wrong?

I have no clear definition on scientology and have tried many texts to understand. According to rumour they reckon the earth is run by aliens but i have no evidence for this. I worry that the recent attack on this religous group is alienating another group and instead of the open society we should be creating.
(the tom cruise film in germany, panorama and Hardeep singh Koli did an documentary on this subject, all have negative spin on this religion)

Want to thank you for telling Sojack about my questions asked. We talked..did remember our good times, but believes the distance is too far. For me..it is not..flights can be the factor if one wants to get reacquainted. Happy for the call, but one tear fell for I was hoping to take that one step. Sojack made a difference in my life that one summer. So much to give.

Then why did Jesus cry out in Mat 27:46 why had thou forsaken me?

(Matthew 27:46) And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

According to Coptic grammarian Bently Layton, the literal Coptic translation is "and the Word was a god." (page 7, "Coptic in 20 Lessons," 2007) "And the Word was divine " is also possible. (page 34)

The 2nd/ 3rd century Coptic does not support the traditional reading, "the Word was God." Nor does the reading of several other English versions, which have "Divine" or stress the quality of the Logos here (godly, godlike) rather than his identity.

The Coptic version is not a Gnostic work. It is an ancient translation of the canonical New Testament into Coptic (Egyptian) by orthodox Egyptian Christians, on a par with the Latin Vulgate and Syriac versions.

Email from the owner of where I work:

**I would like to begin a monthly chapel service to be held the first Monday of each month in the classroom downstairs. This will be held before work - 8am - and will be completely voluntary. All employees will be welcome. The meeting will begin at 8 and end at 8:20. We will have a guest speaker ( a pastor or someone from Christian par-church circles) to talk about living the Christian life in our work. We will also have a time to pray for employees/ clients/family concerns as they come up. We can even offer a place for folks to submit prayer requests to be prayed for at the meeting.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this - objections, concerns or whatever. I do not want to start something that will be a problem or controversial but have a time that can help us all grow as servants of the Living God. Please e-mail me your thoughts. **

I'm an atheist (the only non-christian) and this makes me uncomfortable. What should I say?

Does Israel have to be restored to the borders of the original homeland designated in the Bible, or if peace came and all the prophecies were fulfilled, would it be still accepted if Israel had to give back much parts of the land occupied even until now?

I have no religion and I am being an agnostic so far for 22years.

I wouldn't say that God exists or doesn't exist as i have no proof nor clue on what i am talking about.

I am open minded to believe in anything if it makes any sense to me.
Which Religion would you recommend and why?

you also say that god doesn't have to answer to you about the horrible things he does. he has a reason for everything and when you're in heaven you might get to finally understand those reasons.

why is this good enough for you?

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

I surely do... it saved my life.... knowing you are not perfect, nor have to be perfect frees you to be human and walking Christ-like comes with learning more about biblical truths. The first step is to take that leap of faith .... You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

I have my own view about the 10 commandments however I wanted to know if other people had noticed why, when the new covenant is brought up or if the subject of "living under the law" or by trying to follow the 10 commandments, Christians, start to get a bit twitchy. Is this a debateable part of theology, if so what is it called. I look forward to your views.

Kind Regards

Andy
