That's right, but don't you pay them enough money after the surgery? I think that's the best thing for them.

LOL. I agree. They should thank the surgeons too at least. I mean, even if it's the work of God, he work trough the surgeon. This remind me a story where a priest was in danger of flood and the citizen want to save him but he decline, saying that God will. At last he died and ask God about why He didn't save him. God answered "I sent the citizen to, but you decline it!" LOL

They should thank both. God for giving the ability to the surgeon, and the surgeon for doing the work. And God is not a fairy tale. You can shut your arrogant mouth, liberal.

We recognize that whatever happens on this planet, when we pray for something, ultimately, it is in the hands of God. It is entirely HIS choice.
After my own brain surgery, my family did thank God.
Me, I was so whacked on the drugs, I turned into the world's worst patient. You'd never know I know God.
I only have a few vague memories, one which involved the desire to choke the loud guy in the room with me.
I thank God I didn't have the strength to.

I find it sickening actually. Never a drop of praise for the surgeons or nurses. Just an imaginary god.

James 1:17 (New International Version)

17Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

If you believe the Bible then here is your answer. If you don't then it wouldn't make since to ask the question.

If the patient is thanking God then it's all good. As most doctors believe they are God to begin with.

NO. it is God who healed your operations and the surgeons are the instrument to your operations.. "Everything is impossible to MEN but with God ALL are POSSIBLE." using it's strength they cannot do it but with the power of God all can do because of His LOVE to us.. of course you also thank for the surgeons to be the instruments to heal you with God's power.

BY thanking God you can talk to God by prayer and poured all your feelings to Him and surely you'll have your satisfactions and joy that you don't know what its reasons.. just have faith and trust God always.. God hears our prayers.

God bless!!

if you don't understand, just do of what i suggests..

Definitely, the doctor did the work, the doctor performed the miracle, god had nothing to do with it. People who thank god for their recovery are selfish and ungrateful to the dedicated medical professionals who have saved their lives.

First off, the premise of your "question" is wrong. However, even though you are just using this to get your little dig in on Christians, I'll answer the first part.

It is, indeed, appropriate to give thanks to God. God is the Creator of all things. He is the Creator of the MDs who performed your mythological operation. He is the One who gave these men the knowledge and skills to perform such a delicate piece of surgery. He is the one who would guide their hands during the surgery.

Thanking the doctors is a wholly separate thing from thanking the One who guided them, the Great Physician.

I don't know exactly what you are referring to, but the two are not mutually exclusive and surgeons are thanked as well.

This seems like a silly question in order to give yourself the opportunity to call religion a fairy tale. Sad. Regardless of your own beliefs it's immature to be derogatory towards others'.
