I have no religion and I am being an agnostic so far for 22years.

I wouldn't say that God exists or doesn't exist as i have no proof nor clue on what i am talking about.

I am open minded to believe in anything if it makes any sense to me.
Which Religion would you recommend and why?

Dear Cool_Dude,

You know...being a history buff took me to many cultures, societies and religions. I have no "religion" either. I have read the Bible, the Koran, studied Buddhism, studied ancient Greek Philosophy and the Roman Empire, the Torah, Confucianism, Taoism, Wicca and Paganism etc. the list goes on and on. There is truth and morals in all religions. Unfortunately, with mans interference, there are also lies. It is a shame that we have to divide ourselves with doctrines.

What I have found in all the searching is...my heart! I do what I know is right, I help all that I can and through all the searching I know there is a Power so much greater than my own. A Power that many try to name, only to control the masses.

Belief is in the heart. To find Whom you are truly seeking, look within.

Stay far far away from organized religion of any kind. I grew up in a traditonal Christian church. I was taught, and believed, that God was mean and angry, and was sending most people to an ever burning hell.

At about the age of 35, I began a personal glorious journey to find out who God really is and who I really am. What I discovered is something totally different from the dogma of organized religion.

Basically, God loves you and there's not a darn thing you can do about it. I have compiled some scriptures from the Bible into an article I wrote called LETTER FROM A FATHER.

If you are interested in knowing just who(or what) God is, you will start seeking answers, and slowly it will dawn upon you that God is more awesome than you ever thought.

Personally, I don't think it matters which religion you choose. In the end they all attempt to accomplish the same thing: to help you access God and gain a personal relationship with your creator. You can do that with Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, and a number of other religions as well. Most of the major differences between the religions are socio-cultural, meaning that they differ based on the cultures in which they exist. With that in mind, the easiest thing to do is to adopt the religion that is closest to your own culture. Thus, if your area has a strong Lutheran population, then that will likely be the place where you are most comfortable. If your area and culture has a strong Islamic population, then that might be the ticket for you. The best thing you can do is just find a place to worship and study that makes you comfortable. Get out in your community and try out different kinds of churches! People here will tell you what they think, but in the end it is what YOU think and what makes YOU comfortable that will matter. The only way to find out what works for you is to experiment with what is available in your community. Good luck!

let me put it this way...do you believe that you will become a bad person if you dont believe in a final punishment from God?

do you feel the need to be part of a spiritual community or can you manage on your own?

if not, then there is no NEED to have a religion.

if you are agnostic, but still feel as though you would like to live your live on some kind of teachings, take a look into Taoism..

Let me introduce you to a man called Jesus Christ. He is the only God I would recommend to you, not Christianity as a religion but Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Accept Him in your life and you will feel content. You may be confused right now with all those answers in your face but give Him a chance and believe it, you will not regret it. All He asks is faith from us, as the Bible says, "without faith you cannot please God". He only asks for love and faith and everything else will fall into place. He is full of so much love for you that he is waiting for you to just meaningfully confess with your mouth and believe that Jesus is Lord, and then take a journey with him. May the Lord bless you.

You may come across a person that says they are Christians but their lives do not measure up to Christ's expectations but don't let the hypocrisy of one person keep you from Christ. People may disappoint you - but Christ never will. Look at Him as He is revealed in the pages of the New Testament - and when you do, you will realize that He was the perfect example of love and self-sacrifice. The reason is because He was more than just another religious leader. He was God in human flesh, sent from heaven to save us from our sins by His death on the cross. Again, may the Lord bless you and keep you.

An open mind is something sorely missed in the world-scene. Which religion would I recommend? I would recommend conforming to non-comformism. I would praise maintaining the open mind and seeing the "bigger picture." I would not suggest adhering to hedonism, but rather, acknowledge the correct path IN THIS WORLD - that is, using logic and knowing you know not. Basically, be agnostic. The middle ground is what man is left to stand on, for all else has fallen away.

religion is a way of grouping a general thought.
unfortunatley you will always find parts of it that you disagree with . my suggestion is to study as many as you can but listen to your own intuition above anything that you read .
the answer to your question is answered only by your very own self .
dont m,ake the commonal error of mistaking religion for faith or belief . the truth comes from within

I would definately recomend animism

Animism is the belief that all things, inanimate or living have a sense of spirit within them. A unconsious, yet independant, force that drives them.

Animism believes in respect for all things, regardless of stature. It teaches true tolerance and can boast about being the world's oldest religion. It has no demands, no rules except for one. Live and let live.

Mumbo Jumbo's.

It is the only one that requires you to rub blue mud into your belly button, in order to go to heaven.

All the other religions require all sorts of things, Mumbo Jumbo, only requires an application of blue mud.

All Hail Robert A. Heinlein, Mumbo Jumbo's Holy Prophet, who went to sit at the right hand of Mumbo Jumbo 25 years ago this month.

Wait until the Resurrection, when everyone who believed all these myths find out they were wrong and go to hell, because they didn't believe and rub blue mud into their navels.

There will be much gnashing of teeth when the blessed of Mumbo Jumbo party with him/her and watch the tortures of the unbelievers.
