The Ark: its length was 300 cubits (450 feet, or 135 meters); its width was 50 cubits (75 feet, or 22.5 meters); it had three stories and its height was 30 cubits (45 feet, or 13.5 meters). That will give you a volume of 1,518,750 Cubic feet or the space available in 102,618 Sears chest freezers. That is enough room for about 50,000 steers, cleaned dressed and packaged just to give you an idea of the volume we are talking about. That would pack the Ark from bilge to rafters with meat.
75,000,000 Pounds would be the cargo weight or 375,000 tons of cargo. 564,763 is what a fully laden oil tanker weighed in 1970. This on wooden home built roughly a 3rd of the size of the Queen Mary and around half the size of the Titanic.

I am thirteen years old. I've been studying up on wicca for a couple months and know very little. I want to learn more, but I haven't told my parents that I am learning it. I can't tell them, so please don't tell me to tell them. It won't work. They don't exactly handle my life well.
I can't buy the things I need for it, like an alter or cauldron. I can rent books from the library, but it doesn't have the books I need. Trust me, I've looked.
So, I was wondering if there were any online websites that I don't need to pay or subscribe to that I can look at for information. I know some basic stuff. But I feel the need to look up more info before I get in any handy-work if you catch my drift.
Plus, any tips from one witch to another would be lovely. And I don't want any comments from christians about how "This is devil-worship" because, as mentioned before, THIS IS NOT DEVIL-WORSHIP! So that would be apperciated if those comments were kept to that person, thank you.
Thanks everyone!

Atheists: please play along. Answering you don't believe doesn't add anything to the conversation.

I'll bet it was a man, if it was your mom or grandmother I'll bet they were influenced by a man. There's a male in the pipe-line somewhere, even the author's are male. Can you see the pattern of all religious beginings.

is not from the Lord, well, at one time, I had some pretty scary stuff happening in my home. plus some not so scary stuff, I had went to my pastor and many others who would not help. Then I found a pentacostal (hope thats spelled right) pastor who said they would help, they came over annoited the house, prayed and spoke in tounge, I remember it got very hot at that moment like a bad hot flash. they said I had the gift of deserment. thats probabaly not spelled right either. But whatever they did, it workedm, I have not been bothered since then, I had been since I was 9 years old. and in one day these people stopped it. except for my dreams. But stuff doesnt move or talk all by itself anymore, My son doesnt have an imaginary friend anymore who says he loves him and is going to take him home soon ect. so if these people are practicing stuff from satan, then why did it work?

The father and I are not married. We were both baptized and recieved all of our sacraments (he did not do confirmation). He is not practicing and even denounces Catholic faith. However I really want the baby baptized. Willl the church accept a baptism for a baby out of wedlock and can I do this without his help?

if they said they wanted to convert to Buddhism, was not to do so but to stay within their own religion. He said you should only change if you really couldn't get on with the religion you already belonged to.
Why do you think he would do that?
Why would he pass up the chance of making converts?

god created us imperfect knowing we would sin but still holds us responsible for our imperfections by saddling us with the blame for Jesus' death even though he (god) made up the rule that Jesus' had to die to wash away the sins of mankind that he (god) is responsible for creating in the first place? On top of that we are condemned for not believing such a story and will rot in some hell for eternity even though god being all powerful could change the rules?

I'll admit I'm confused.

Matthew 16:4 An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not be given it….
The Holy Bible gives the cause of this cancer and blight: " Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

There are many testimonies of God's miraculous provison for people who tithe. There are just as many testimonies of God's blessing and provision for people who live shole heartedly for HIM without tithing !
Christians who live blessed and prosperous live without tithing are not publicized. No one has anything to gain by telling their story, so you hear nothing about them.
Something else that is not publizied is the number of people who do tithe regularly and are not receiving the financial provision that they should !

There are many things that affect the level of blessing and prosperity in a person's life. God looks at the heart. Sometimes people get an attitude corrected or mnove from unbelief to faith, which allows God to bless them, but they mistakenly attribute the blessing to something they have done, like tithing. When faithful tithers are not receiving a reasonable of financial blessing they are told that they are still missing it somewhere else in their life - rightly so

I'm an atheist living in the Bible belt. I've had numerous fundamentalists (mostly Southern or Missionary Baptists) try to convert me by showing me stories about people who had died and come back to life. The people say that they talked to Jesus, and saw hell, and have come back to life filled with love and fear for God.

Do they really think those stories are persuasive at all? I mean, every religion has these stories. For instance, Mormons have these stories, but when they talk to Jesus, he tells them that they need to follow the word of Joseph Smith. When they "visit hell," they warned against sins that most Christians never worry about. Why are their experiences less valid than other Christians?

Muslims, Hindus, etc.. they all have these same stories.

So why do people use these stories to convert people? When I hear them, or get handed a stack of the stories, I mostly just figure the person is a nut.
