Joey----Hitler was catholic not Christian, the kkk is a political organization not a religion. And no one targets innocent civilians and uses old women and small children to blow themselves up like Islam does. Islamic tactics are cowardice at the highest level.

Of course Muslims would say, "They are extremist! we are not" BUT here is the catch. These extremists follow all the koran and want to obey what it says. The other omits certain parts.

I'm a firm believe that no one can be made to do anything. I believe that people who have the thrive to go after their own selfish needs will do anything in their power to do so.

These are groups and people that have broken away having good arguments for themselves to justify their actions, and unfortunately they are leading astray many peace-loving people to gain ground and numbers.

I don't blame the religion or their culture. Any man anywhere else who was rich, had connections with powerful people and coveted those who had more, would do anything to be greater. These men are power hungry, nothing more. They use selected scripture to justify their cause, but they do not delve into the spiritual message of "love," for mankind in the Koran as a whole.

It seems like Islam has spawned these people only because their religion is so intertwined with their government and culture. To say, "Islam spawned these people," I'd feel it would be incorrect for me to do so. That's my point of view.

Understand every person makes their own choices. Islam may be peaceful. ( I say it may only because I don't know for a fact ) They can interpret their religion differently just like the Christians can. That's proven by all the different denominations of Christianity even though they all read from the same book.

That's just like saying "The devil made me do it", the devil neither the koran made any person commit the acts that they did. Every person has the power over their actions.

Something I think that goes beyond the scope of the Bible and actually could fit an Atheist point of view is "To he who knows what is right to do and does not do it, to him it is sin(wrong)". Also "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

Some people just have a twisted point of view.

All religions have their bad eggs and some people have always perverted the morals of religion and ethics.
Do you remember the genocide by Christian's of the American Indian population or the reasons they left Europe in the first place . How about the very first theist religion Coptic that enslaved Mose's people right out of Egypt. The Islamics I've met here in the USA although they suffer some prejudice are serious moral people .
Some very well informed Americans privy to info from high places contend that the US policy is responsible for much of the insurgence and bad feelings throughout the world.
And the Catholic faith is Christian in fact the first Christian faith.

I suppose you think that no other religion has ever had violent lunatics who considered themselves as its members? Look at your own Christian history before you self-righteously condemn Islam for the actions of its alleged members. I am not prepared to condemn Christianity for some sick priests or even the Lord's Resistance Army of Uganda, to name a few contemporary examples. Don't you realize that people have used the Bible to justify the murder and subjugation of millions of people over the centuries? Can you not get past the 5 o'clock news and put current events and your own prejudices into historical, political, and sociological perspective?

If Christianity is peaceful then why did it spawn the KKK, Hitler, the Inquisition. The KKK, Hitler, and the Inquisition all happened because the people believed it was God's will. I dont support anything of that Al Queda, Hamas, or Bin Ladin does, but you have to look at it from every direction here.

Not to mention the children's cartoon that ended with a plea for all of the (children) viewers to arm themselves to kill the Israeli and American infidels. Yes, peaceful indeed.

I'm not at all implying that any other religion is peaceful and non-violent. Yes, Christianity, Judaism and many other religions have been equally violent. BUT... the Muslims keep asking us to not judge them based on the 9/11 attackers, insisting they are truly a peaceful belief. Shows such as this cartoon and groups such as Al Queda et al. all indicate otherwise.

If Christianity is peaceful why has it killed thousands searching for the "Holy Land", Given Bush all the fuel he needs to take over a place we shouldn't be in at all, and has caused much of the hate and bigotry we seen in the world?
