There are many testimonies of God's miraculous provison for people who tithe. There are just as many testimonies of God's blessing and provision for people who live shole heartedly for HIM without tithing !
Christians who live blessed and prosperous live without tithing are not publicized. No one has anything to gain by telling their story, so you hear nothing about them.
Something else that is not publizied is the number of people who do tithe regularly and are not receiving the financial provision that they should !

There are many things that affect the level of blessing and prosperity in a person's life. God looks at the heart. Sometimes people get an attitude corrected or mnove from unbelief to faith, which allows God to bless them, but they mistakenly attribute the blessing to something they have done, like tithing. When faithful tithers are not receiving a reasonable of financial blessing they are told that they are still missing it somewhere else in their life - rightly so

..But when they get the other things corrected and start receiving God's provision, tithing gets the credit.

People say, "I wouldn't stop tithing, I've dont it too long and I know it works."

They don't realize that God's is good and gracious and He responds to faith where He cn find it.

"For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose hearts is perfect toward HIM. " - 2 Chron. 16:9

God blesses sincere people who put actions to their faith even though their thelogy may not be correct.

I wish people who answer my questions at least read the full posting before they act. Better still if they can read all the Misinformation from 1 to 19 before they dare to call me an Atheist . Goodness gracious me !

The Bible says we are to tithe, and the many parables confirm this...

However....there are many other ways of tithing... our time, our possessions given to those whom are in need more then we are, our ears to listen, our hearts to pray, our witness and testimonials, .... even answering questions in R&S and helping someone find what they are seeking...

LOL, I have missed so many opportunities of wealth simply because I said "no thankyou" because "I had no need at the time" or "because I knew someone else with a greater need" or "because I was too humble to accept but was blessed by the offer all the same" or "i had a doubt as to what the acceptance of some particular offers would have a string attatched that may compromise my soul.

LOL I never said I was the wisest person in the world, just that I was a loving child of God.

No matter what though, commonsense, if we DO tithe, in whatever shape or form, we are not to announce it but to keep it between God and ourselves....unless we make a promise to do so to a church or organization, etc.,. then, we must honor a promise made.

Peace be with you :)

As long as your tithing is because you love God and desire to honor Him even if there was no "blessing".

If you tithe because of what you might receive in return then how can He honor what was not done to honor Him?

***additional note to your additional notes***
If you get upset because people don't tend to read all of the way through your statements it's probably because instead of just writing a straight forward terse question you do a rambling disortation that is really hard to distill out of it exaclty what you are asking if in deed you are asking anything at all or just mounting your soap box looking for acceptance and confirmation.......

Since God is spirit and everything we have comes from God, why would we need to tithe? That was instituted to help furnish the needs of the priests and prophets of the temple, who had no other means of earning a living.

It's just a great big "get rich quick" scheme. Give me 10% and I'll give you salvation.
