So then you'd all agree that heaven works the same way, right? Once you've got that backstage pass, you're in forever. What's stopping people from doing bad things if there's no threat of going to hell once they're in heaven?

I actually saw something on the History Channel that says in some religions it depends on what you are in hell for (or something like that.) Like someone like Adolf Hitler I think he should stay in hell for all eternity, but a person who was a theif, I personally do not think the punishment should be for eternity...BUT ONLY GOD KNOWS...or whoever you believe in.

according to the bible you don't go anywhere right when you die. You just die. Jesus says there is noone in heaven (john 3:13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man) And for hell, the wicked just get burned up into ashes. They don't suffer for eternity.(Malachi 4 Then you will trample down the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I do these things," says the LORD Almighty) Is when you go to heaven or hell is when Jesus comes back and judges the world and makes a new heaven and earth the wicked just get burnt up and the good go to the new earth (Revelation 21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.)

No. As I understand it. You're there because you deserve to be there. The "management" has no sympathy or empathy. Just like being in prison without the possibility of parole. They don't care how sorry you are. They're just there to see you do your time, (eternity seems like a long time to me), combined with the notable disadvantage that you never die. Christ spent the three days, between being murdered and being resurrected, in hell saving the souls of the damned. Since that boat has already sailed, It's a good bet he won't be going back for an encore. So don't hold your breath. Just to be safe I'm goin' for the life of sin, followed by the death bed confession. In response to part 2. Good people go to heaven. They're there because they're GOOD. My understanding, limited as it may be, is that you can't fool God. I think he knows your heart and slips you the ticket after reviewing your situation. Just my humble opinion....Rob

Hell is permanent and once you are there, then you are their for good. For the wages of sin is death. Once you are a child of God, it's the holy spirit in you that changes you from the inside out. You won't do things like that anymore. Your mind and heart will make a 180 and your are a new creature.
The Bible and all the teachings will start to make sense to you. You will thirst for God's word. For God so loved the world that whosoever beleives in him will not parish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16

Whoa, dude, back up. If you don't know, who else will? Is anyone in hell answering these questions right now? I certainly hope not. Who even knows if there is a hell? I'm Christian, yes, but the bible cannot prove anything (Wow, I might as well be agnostic, huh?). I believe in the bible, I just do not know that the bible is correct. Seriously, though, why are you asking this question? No one is going to know.

As for an actual answer: I don't believe in hell, and if I did I wouldn't believe that you could be moved up.

I'm a student of Catholicism and believe in a heaven , a purgatory , and a very permanent and painfull hell .....You may some what get used to it after a great while but you will never be in the presents of God... You get out of purgatory after you overcome sins your where attached do at the point of death . Purgatory can be as hard as hell is but you have the peace of mind and satisfaction of knowing your going to heaven some day .

Question: "Is hell real? Is hell eternal?"

Answer: Is hell real? Studies show that over 90% of people in the world believe in a "heaven" while less than 50% believe in an eternal hell. According to the Bible, hell is most definitely real! The punishment of the wicked in hell is as never-ending as the bliss of the righteous in Heaven. The punishment of the wicked dead in hell is described throughout Scripture as "everlasting fire" (Matthew 25:41), "unquenchable fire" (Matthew 3:12), "shame and everlasting contempt" (Daniel 12:2), a place where "their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched" (Mark 9:44-49), a place of "torments" and "flame" (Luke 16:23,24), "everlasting destruction" (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place of torment with "fire and brimstone" where "the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever" (Revelation 14:10,11), and a "lake of fire and brimstone" where the wicked are "tormented day and night forever and ever" (Revelation 20:10). Jesus Himself indicates that the punishment in hell itself is everlasting - not merely the smoke and flames (Matthew 25:46).

The wicked are forever subject to the fury and the wrath of God in hell. They consciously suffer shame and contempt and the assaults of an accusing conscience -- along with the fiery wrath of an offended deity -- for all of eternity. Even those in hell will acknowledge the perfect justice of God (Psalms 76:10). Those who are in the very real hell will know that their punishment is just and that they alone are to blame (Deuteronomy 32:3-5). Yes, hell is real. Yes, hell is a place of torment and punishment that lasts forever and ever, with no end! Praise God that through Jesus, we can escape this eternal fate (John 3:16,18,36).

You are out of chances once you die.

With love through Christ Jesus,

Dusty

Well Jesus saved some sould from the chambers of Hell once when He died..... But He doesn't state anywhere I know that He will do it again. So probly not But we serve a misterious God. I personally would rather just Love God and do His will while I have the chance then regret it and hope for a break while being tortured by demons. .

Heaven and Hell are places in the imagination of the believers. The only reason to justify the existence of those places is FEAR.

Once you are judged by God and you are sent to Hell, you will stay there, however you will be able to see what is in Heaven. God gives you a chance to do right on earth so you wont go to Hell. So if you go to Hell, its because you didnt do right by God
