I am thirteen years old. I've been studying up on wicca for a couple months and know very little. I want to learn more, but I haven't told my parents that I am learning it. I can't tell them, so please don't tell me to tell them. It won't work. They don't exactly handle my life well.
I can't buy the things I need for it, like an alter or cauldron. I can rent books from the library, but it doesn't have the books I need. Trust me, I've looked.
So, I was wondering if there were any online websites that I don't need to pay or subscribe to that I can look at for information. I know some basic stuff. But I feel the need to look up more info before I get in any handy-work if you catch my drift.
Plus, any tips from one witch to another would be lovely. And I don't want any comments from christians about how "This is devil-worship" because, as mentioned before, THIS IS NOT DEVIL-WORSHIP! So that would be apperciated if those comments were kept to that person, thank you.
Thanks everyone!

http://www.witchvox.com is one of the best sites to learn about Wicca. FYI, you do not NEED any physical items like an alter or cauldron to be Wiccan, all you need is you. Items like those are just tools to aid you, they are not necessities. Best of luck. And you just be you, what others think, including parents, does not matter.

I am not a Wiccan. Have researched for a while and then went into the research of pre-Wiccan Ways.
I'd gladly chat with you, but, due to your age I cannot because of the legal reasons.

You could try http://www.witchvox.com and locate other teens in your area and try and correspond with them.

Good luck in any case.

Your family may find out sooner or later anyway.... won't even go there.... sadly many Monotheists (believers in only 1 God) are not accepting the possibility there is anything but their 'One True Way'. Seriously, it's sad when a child has to hide their interests/ beliefs from Parents. Speaks allot about intolerance....

I'm sorry, but as a parent, a teacher, and especially a witch, I refuse to compromise my personal code of ethics and help you lie and decieve your parents.

Your parents legally have say over your life, including your religious choices, until you are 18, and you've just told me that they would NOT approve of you studying Wicca.

Exactly how do you KNOW they don't handle your life well- because they don't let you do just whatever you want? They are being parents, which is their job, and keeping you safe, protected and educated is a goodly part of that job - not being your buddy and letting you do whatever.

I know of several places, even majorly participate in one. But I'm not going to pass it on, because you made it clear that your parents don't want this to be part of your education. Knowing that, I'm not going to set myself up for any legal issues nor compromise my ethics because some unknown to me teenager wants someting forbidden to them by parents. I will not undermine your parents that way.

And it wouldn't change even if I knew you - your parent's word is law for now.

You have plenty of time to learn all this.

I'm sure you hate this answer- but it is the responsible and adult answer. It is the responsible witches answer as well.

If your parents can't handle it, then WAIT.

You will have developed the most important skill in Wicca.
