There's an emergency. My boss came into my office yesterday and told me that he had tried to reach a close friend on mine (who we both know). We don't know what it is. We've tried to call and have left a text message but haven't received a response in more than 24 hours. His office has been closed for two days now. I know that when he gets a chance, he will call in to our office. In the meantime - all I can do is sit and pray for him. Could you all pray for him, too? Thanx!

We are given by continuing Revelation the Eternal Truth-fact of the Paradise Trinity as the Infinite Absolute Unity of Three Coordinate Deity Persons:

God the Father and God the Son and God the Spirit

How do these Three Persons project into one or two Spirits down here in the universe with us? He the Spirit of Truth and She (or He) the Holy Spirit ?

Just some food for thought ..
GOD is a infinite being, a spirit, a energy source.
That being said.. Science has no way to measure infinity

In the Book of Genesis it says *in the beginning GOD created
Heaven and Earth. It does not say Earth or what if might of been made up of did not exsist, that is why evolution can uncover secrets of earth billion of years ago.. This Planet was here but it did not sustain a enviroment for human beings....ONLY when GOD created this planet for his creation
do we see that written in the Book of Genesis.

If GOD could destroy the earth with the flood, what makes you think he could not have created or destroyed this planet before Adam and Eve came on scene?

I have seen Christains telling other Christians that they are not "true" or "real" and there are many denominations with varying degrees of liberalism and conservativeness in each.

I have seen (on rare occasions) some atheists tell other atheists that they aren't atheists because they believe in an afterlife, or something else that isn't scientifically proven.

Agnostics are even subdivided into weak, strong, deist/theist, or atheist.

And, please forgive me if I am wrong as this is outside my experience, isn't there 3 types of Buddhism?

I ask, not to cause trouble, but out of curiosity.

Do you allow your beliefs to define you or do you define your beliefs?
Are they subject to change with experience, or do you deny yourself experiences that may cause change?

I asked why a god who could make a universe couldn't make a book without ambiguity. I asked this question two different ways.

I'm told that if God had done that, he'd have interfered with free will.

So then I ask if God writing a book without ambiguity would have interfered with free will, why did he write a book at all.

I'm told that god did not write a book full of ambiguity, that god wrote a perfectly understandable handbook for how we are to live.

(o.O)

You get one excuse to handle one problem, and then they totally reverse themselves to hand you an excuse for the problem their earlier excuse created.

And this circus act -never- ends.

I have to wonder, don't christians -ever- get sick and tired of making excuses for thenonsense and superstition they claim to believe? Have they compartmentalized their beliefs for so long that they are completely unaware of how often they contradict one another?

Isn't it Christians alone who sew the seeds of confusion?

I myself think there is good in all religions EXCEPT the Catholic Church, I think that they are the most corrupt religion out there. Why are some religions so close minded that they think they have the ONLY TRUE religion? What do you think of what the Pope said and do you believe that your religion is the only "True" religion and why do you think that? Do you really think that God will only save one religion?
Below is a link to the Pope thing....

Many responders stated that they no longer felt the need to listen to secular music because it did not praise God. To a certain extent, I understand giving up music that expresses different ideals from your own, but what about artists like Norah Jones or U2? Neither praise God, but they have become very popular by creating music with positive lyrics.

By that token, (to those who feel that way) do you not watch any TV shows that don't praise God? Do you not read any literature that does not praise God?

Do you see it as virtually every person on Earth sees it today, as one of the most sinful practices in all of human history? How do you deal with such discrepancies? Do you ignore it and just go on, business as usual, somehow justify it as proper and moral or try to present it as consensual servitude? Personally, I have a difficult time with being labeled as immoral as a non-believer by anyone who is not absolutely outraged at a god who can condone this in any form. Does it appear that mankind has evolved to a greater morality than God?

Opinions please? You certainly don't have to agree with me, please just be sincere and not flippant.

This is a fantastic discovery, a world-class find," Dr Finkel said yesterday. "If Nebo-Sarsekim existed, which other lesser figures in the Old Testament existed
Searching for Babylonian financial accounts among the tablets, Prof Jursa suddenly came across a name he half remembered - Nabu-sharrussu-ukin, described there in a hand 2,500 years old, as "the chief eunuch" of Nebuchadnezzar II, king of Babylon.

Prof Jursa, an Assyriologist, checked the Old Testament and there in chapter 39 of the Book of Jeremiah, he found, spelled differently, the same name - Nebo-Sarsekim.

Nebo-Sarsekim, according to Jeremiah, was Nebuchadnezzar II's "chief officer" and was with him at the siege of Jerusalem in 587 BC, when the Babylonians overran the city.

You read a lot of philosophical arguments for and against the existance of God, and a lot of debating about morals.

What do you think?
