first you have to see that God is the father...Jesus is the word of God in the flesh..the Holy Spirit is the action of the spoken word of God...and by the Way the Holy Spirit is He

God is Spirit...Jesus is God in the flesh...
You said: "Since the Holy Spirit was upon all persons and controlling all things on earth in the Old Testament times (eg "The Spirit of the Lord is opon me" and "within me"), Who or what is this NEW SPIRIT, "He the Spirit of Truth" that Jesus gave to us, freely poured out upon all flesh, after Jesus Ascended back to the Paradise Father ? The Holy Spirit wasn't upon 'all persons', when Jesus ascended up to heaven he told his disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit to come upon them...He was talking to the 'believers'...When the Holy Spirt came, it was upon them and not everyone...
The Holy Spirit is not upon you or in you and it will never be until you confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior and ask Him into your heart.

OK, let me make this simple. There is only one Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. To clarify another thing, there is no she in this picture. At least from a Christian's perspective. When Jesus came back from the dead, He told His disciples that He would send another comforter. He was referring to the Holy Spirit. In the book of Acts, at Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came down on all believers. God the Father and God the Son are in Heaven while the Holy Spirit resides in every one that is a Christian. Now trying to understand how three persons can be one in mindboggling and cannot be explained. It is taken by faith.

Your terms are out of the ordinary for theology. One of the reasons that the Roman Catholic Church insists upon certain terms of language when talking about God is to avoid confusion or giving the wrong impression. The Trinity is one divine nature - 3 diviner persons. Not three dieties. One God not Three.
The Father is generator of the Son, The Father and the Son Spirate the Holy Spirit all in a Trinity of Love. They can even dwell within each other while remaining distinct in person (Circumincession).

God is not made up of God the Father, God the Son, and God the holy spirit.
At John 17:3, Jesus called his Father the ONLY true God. That harmonizes with 1 Cor. 8:6, which says: "There is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him." That harmonizes with Jesus' words at John 20:17: "I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God."
Is the Spirit and truth the same as the holy spirit? Yes.
“The Father . . . will give you another helper to be with you forever, the spirit of the truth.” John 14:16, 17.
Therefore, because he was exalted to the right hand of God and received the promised holy spirit from the Father, he has poured out this which YOU see and hear. Acts 2:33

Based on my research, I believe the Holy Spirit is God's soul. It stands to reason that if we have one, He does as well and the scriptures back this up.
In Genesis 1:2 we find the first mention of the Holy Spirit: "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."
The word translated here for spirit is the Hebrew ruÌach meaning "wind; by resemblance breath, figuratively life, by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being"
This is the same word used in many other verses... actually 378 times in the Old Testament
Gen 7:22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
Here the word ruÌach is translated as breath. The "breath of life" meaning soul.
In Genesis 2:7, we find: "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
The word breath in this verse comes from neshaÌmaÌh which means "a puff, that is, wind, angry or vital breath" and the word soul is from nephesh meaning "a breathing creature"
In the New Testament, we find the same. For example: Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Here we have the Greek word pneuma translated as Ghost. The original meaning is "a current of air, that is, breath (blast) or a breeze; by analogy or figuratively a spirit, that is, (human) the rational soul"
I could go on showing hundreds of examples but to keep this answer short, the above will suffice to make my point.
The Spirit of God that moved across the waters in Genesis 1:2 is described as a wind. A puff of that wind was blown into the nostrils of Adam (he was given a soul) in Genesis 2:7 and throughout the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, we find the words soul, ghost, spirit and living all coming from words meaning a wind or breath. The exact same original words are also translated as Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost.
To some this up; The Holy Spirit or Ghost, is His soul just as our spirit (or ghost) is our soul. In almost every case, man's soul and the Holy Sprit are described as a breath (man) or wind (God).
Whether or not you believe in things like astral projection or OBEs in humans, you only have believe in God's power to see that His soul can work indepently from Him.
When the Holy Spirit is with us, we can feel it within our own souls and it's an uplifting feeling because we're experiencing a portion of God's soul strengthening our own.
I hope you find this anwser informative and useful.
Take care and may God bless.

John 1:1
in the beginning was the WORD and the word was with God, and the word WAS God.
*so He is the word
John 1:14
and the Word (God) was made flesh, (Jesus) and dwelt among us, and beheld his glory , the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 14:16-17 / 26:27
:26 but the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name(Jesus) he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remebrance.
I hope i understood your question and i pray this helped to explain- God is all 3
He made himself flesh - (tangent) so we could see what he did for us- then He leaves us a comforter (holy Ghost) to guide us and help us live through his word - we are sinful flesh and cant not begin to even try to live by his word except with the Holy Ghost living inside us.
only throughJesus Christ are we saved. Epshesians 2:8
God bless you

I'm not sure what you are trying to say, but the Greek word for spirit is neutered.
This means the pronoun for the holy spirit is 'It' not he or she.
There are some verses that refer to the holy spirit being a helper.
The pronoun 'he' applies to this title not because the helper is a person, but because the word is masculine.

The Gita is the mother of all the religious books so just as for instance most English words have their roots in Latin, in the same way most words in the scripture books have their roots in the Bhagawad Gita. The original word was TRIMUTRI SHIVA now changed to read TRINITY.
Let's assume your earthly father is Tony Blair. At home he is a father with a wife and children and as soon as he gets to the office he is no more a father but a Prime Minister. His role changes. Meanwhile, after work he goes to lecture in a university before he finally goes home. This is his daily routine.
So we have Tony Blair the father, the prime minister and the teacher. Note that it is the same Tony Blair doing three different jobs daily and this is what is meant by the Trimutri Father -God being a Father, Teacher and the Sat Guru(the True Guru). Unfortunately, however, christians have gotten this concept all wrong and they have a different meaning to it.
The question one would want to ask is :' How on earth could God be a Son(whose son?) and a Holy Ghost(how holy is a ghost?) and more importantly how could God be a Ghost; Does God have a father to be a son?
Indeed,God is a Holy Spirit or Soul but He is not a Son unless of course one substitutes Jesus as the son which means that Jesus is God.But how can one describe God as a Ghost forget about the issue of holiness because we all know God is holy and He need not become a ghost to be holy.
Note that the word son and father are not the same just as the vice president and the president are not the same. The vice president cannot claim he is a president because he has the title president. I don't know of the Holy Spirit being (She) and the Spirit of Truth (He) but what I know is that the soul or spirit has no gender but it is assumed to be positive(male) than negative (female) which is why in the Western world God is more of a Father, and in the East, God is both a Mother and a Father. The choice, however, is yours.
Now, a brief history about Jesus so as to set the records straight as regards this concept of Trinity. The truth about Jesus as I know it is that he was a hero actor but was not born of the Holy Spirit but through sex just like you and I.This means that the concept of the Virgin Mary is false.Note that God respects the law -the Drama Cycle- and that there is no way He will break the law to suit anybody. More importantly, He Himself is bound by the law so there is no way He can manipulate it to suit anybody be it His son or that of the devil. Tell me, which of the messengers or teachers is the son of the devil? Did God authored the bible? Is God a christian God? It is a pity christians have always had this false impression of God being a christian and the 'others' devil. It is one of the tall stories in the Bible. At the time of baptism in the River Jordan when the dove descended upon him, was the period he had the title Christ bestowed upon him.- the Christship being a spiritual mantle to empower him to do his job. However, at the time he was crucified, the Christ Spirit/Soul had left the body so it was Jesus who was nailed or fastened to the cross. Christ being a soul or a spirit is imperishable so cannot taste death. But if Jesus were God the Son, how on earth will God allow His one and only son to suffer pain, sorrow and death? One characteristic about God is that He is a Bestower of peace and happiness and will never ever give anybody sorrow. He is so kind, sweet and loving to allow His child to suffer such humiliation. So did Jesus also die for people of other religions or only for christians? Again, how can a mortal human being save another human being? Salvation of humanity of our past sinful and impure actions is the task of the Trimutri Father alone and none other. That is the law.
As regards the issue about the resurrection the little said about it the better. It is a tall story. For me, it would be better for one not to die at all as a proof to the world that one is a conqueror of death than to die and resurrect and say one has conquered death. Where is the conquest over death?
The law of reincarnation means that once you shed your old body(die) you take another one and the name, form, time and place continue to change with every birth.Infact, besides God who incarnates( takes a body on loan) all His children are bound by the law of reincarnation.Again, there is no heaven up above in the skies or down under the oceans. Heaven is right here on earth. It passed away 5000 years ago and it will come again. In the scriptures we are told that heaven existed 3000 years before Jesus was born. So on account of the 5000 year cycle heaven is just ahead of us because Jesus left us about 2000 years ago and 3000 years before his birth was heaven so this adds up to 5000 years. More importantly, the world drama cycle is still ongoing so nobody can go home and even more so nobody knows the way back home( the soul world where we used to live with God the Father of all souls). It is only when God comes that He takes us back with Him.
Presently, God is a Teacher. As you already know a teacher teaches but does not give blessings. God is a Soul so how can He teach, where and when? Because God is a Holy Spirit/Holy Soul, He has no human body so He cannot speak let alone to teach. Rather, He incarnates into an old and impure human body which He takes on loan to teach after which He goes back to His sweet home up up above the skies.Additionally,God has set up a college incognito ( admission is free and no degress required) where He comes every year to meet His Godly students and gives them His directions. The duty of a father is to give inheritance to his children and whilst our earthly fathers give limited inheritance,God gives His children the unlimited inheritance of liberation(soul world) and liberation in-life(heaven).
As the Sat Guru, He takes His children back home because it is He alone who knows the way back home to the soul world where we(souls) lived with Him before we came down on earth to play our predestined parts in the unlimited drama which repeats identically every 5000 years.
