If God is truly omniscient, then we really have no free will. Also, he's just setting us up for failure. Not cool.
Strangely however, omniscience isn't a Biblical concept at all. I believe in God, but I don't think he's omniscient. I think he's the most knowing and most powerful being in existence...but not all knowing and all powerful. The Bible actually makes a pretty good case for that.
Still ironing out the specifics of course, but it's an interesting train of thought. Oh and Christians, don't give me thumbs down, I'm on your side for Pete's sake!

Myra do you still think you wouldn't get bored if you were god and watching others react with their lives knowing full well you already know the outcome of each and every person on earth and knew trillions of years before you made creation? You don't think you may get a bit bored then? to answer this question i think there could possibly be a god but this god wouldn't be anything like the god the bible describes. so if he did make the big bang happen he probably doesn't care about such a insignificant dweebs as webeesss lol

I agree completely. If God knows everything, then he knew what would happen. He knew Adam and Eve would eat the forbidden fruit, he knew he would have to flood the world, etc. It also begs the question how an omnisicnet God, who knows the future, could allow free will. If we all have free will, then is it not possible that there would be no Armageddon, no Anti-Christ? All of this throws all the propheices out the window.
While I do believe people are responsible for their own actions, I question that God is completely omniscient, at least about the future.

Omniscience means that God knows what will happen. However humans have free will and can choose whichever good or bad choices we want. Since that is true, omniscience only means that God knows what we will choose before we choose it.
It it more like God skipping to the end of a book and knowing what will happen, not so much Him being the actual author of the book and the outcome being his fault.

No. Did God foreknow and even decree Adam’s fall into sin, as well as the calamitous consequences that this would bring upon the human family? If God did foreknow all of this, he would have become the author of sin when he made man, and God would be deliberately responsible for all human wickedness and suffering. Clearly, this cannot be reconciled with what God reveals about himself in the Scriptures. He is a God of love and justice who hates wickedness.
The Scriptures say that “God put Abraham to the test” by commanding him to sacrifice his son Isaac as a burnt offering. When Abraham was about to sacrifice Isaac, God stopped him and said: “Now I do know that you are God-fearing in that you have not withheld your son, your only one, from me.” (Genesis 22:1-12) Would God have made that statement if he knew in advance that Abraham would obey this command? Would it have been an honest test?
Just as the majority of mankind in Noah’s day chose to disobey God and were annihilated, so today the majority do not obey God’s commandments. Yet, God has not already determined who will be destroyed and who will receive salvation. In fact, God’s Word says that he “does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) Even very wicked people can repent, become obedient, and make the changes necessary to gain God’s favor.

No. You are trying to limit the Limitless One with lame linguistics...and that you simply cannot do.
Omniscience (ALL knowing) means what it says. ALL. Foreknowledge does not necessarily mean "foreordained". Not at all.
God knows all. He not only knows what WILL happen, He knows what COULD happen in an infinite number of variables and situations.
He knows what will happen if you turn right, or turn left, or go straight, or hop on one foot for an hour.

No, it is not. God made the world just as he wanted, then brought us here to live and tend to the earth. Since we are not perfect, we will make mistakes and sin throughout our lives.
God does not "scheme" to trick us or use us as a clumsy character for his entertainment. When we go to Him through prayer, He is pleased by our dependence on Him. It is when we reach out to Him that He graces us with mercy and strength to continue on with His work. We are just living here by His grace, it is His world!
By making things easy for us, it is like a parent that does everything for their child...it spoils the child for adulthood and they cannot handle disappointment. A spoiled child is useless to the world and to them self. That is why God places challenges and trials along our path, not to destroy us or hurt us intentionally, but to help groom us for tougher times.
It is the difficult times in life that help strengthen us for the big challenges...like tolerating difficult, cynical people and still showing them love.
Peace to you always

Wow thats such an original question.
Stop trying to blame God you sissy. Take responsibility for yourself.
It's your fault because he gave you free will. You make the decisions, he just know what idiotic decisions you make.
He's so loving that he'll clean up the mess you made with whatever the situation.
I on the other hand would let you fry.

God allows us to make mistakes to learn from them. If he didn't then he would be taking our agency from us and we would never grow or learn. Would you want to step in and stop your child any time they were about to make a mistake? Probably not. It would deprive them of experience and the chance to teach the lessons learned to others. It isn't God's failure, its why He's God.
