Then why are atheists in the R&S section?

Sorry, been a rough morning, and I need to tie one on.

WWWell, You got a great point.. what are atheists doing?? Trying to convert people?? If so what are they converting to? Nothing. That is what atheism is isn't it.. I don't so much think it is a way of life, or a system of beliefs.. just a lack of beliefs.
And man I've had a hellofa day.. I would like to tie one on as well, but can't :(

Yes, it is. I forget who came up with this (some famous philosopher):

1) If you believe and you are right, you live in eternal happiness.

2) If you believe and you are wrong, you live a less-entertaining life before you die.

3) If you do *not* believe and you are right, you have a more entertaining life before you die.

4) If you do *not* believe and you are wrong, you suffer eternal torment.

It's a simple risk-analysis.

I'd like to think faith is knowing and believing as oppose to
being told and hoping you're right. I think being right or wrong is irrelevant.

What other section would Atheism be better placed in?

because atheists dont accept that it is better to believe and be wrong.

Because when you apply this mentality to climate change, it effects everyone, not just self.

I'd rather believe and be wrong. (Better to have insurance and never need it, than never have it and need it .)

It is better to believe and to be right.
