That’s actually an interesting and quite humorous observation. I don’t see why Jehovah’s Witnesses can’t use the Internet for their evangelistic efforts. Other Christians count Internet preaching as one of their primary methods of prostelyzation, so I am sure that the Jehovah Witnesses can use it for the same thing.

Religions have an uncanny ability to adapt their methods and even theology to meet the challenges of the time, especially when they are threatened with extinction by modernity. In that sense, I am of one mind with Richard Dawkins, who compares religion with a virus.

We are told to preach his word, to go where the people are. Is there people here asking honest questions, wanting to know honest answers? Yes. We go door to door, but there are those of us that are at home during the day or late at night and would like to reach others and at the time may not be able to be out "door to door" so we take advantage of the computer sitting in front of us. So we preach and help others when whenever we get a chance, we want to help others. But is the computer the ONLY way we preach? No! Jesus went out to talk to people, as we do.

I prefer to use the computer to help the meek to come to an accurate knowledge of Jehovah and his purposes than to use it for improper reasons, like so many do. Giving praise to our Creator can be done anywhere. Going from house to house is the best way to witness to others, since Jesus & the apostles did it that way.

No, because most computers don't accept connections on port 80215.

You didn't know?

Port 80215 is the spirituality network port.

I have it firewalled off.

I would prefer that to the door-to-door stuff. At least that way I can delete it and get on with my work.
