I mean it's so obvious that Zeus was upset that this man was going door to door promoting a false god. Who else agree?

On a scale of 1 - 10, how factual do you believe the information contained in the Bible is, and why?

Also, if you are a part of a religious faith, what is it, and does your interpretation of the scripture (and your comment on the question above) reflect the belief system of your religion?

Dose this sport seem ungodly or is it ok? Is it any worse than the rest? Should Christians be partakers with such things as this? Putting their bodys in danger, the alcohol sponsers. The filthy talking. (Kyle Petty two weeks ago)

Any Christian scholar of Christian history will readily confirm that after the famous council of Nicea (325 AD), the church of St. Paul (The Roman Catholic Church) selected out of the over three hundred Gospels in their possession the four that most closely conformed to their doctrines. All others were ordered completely destroyed because they were considered "Apocrypha" (which actually means "hidden from the people"). Some of these were written by disciples of Jesus (pbuh), and not disciples of disciples, who had never met Jesus (pbuh), such as Paul. If these destroyed Gospels were not more authentic than the current selection then they were at least of equal authenticity. The church also ruled that all Gospels written in Hebrew were to be destroyed. An edict was issued that anyone found in possession of an unauthorized Gospel would be put to death. Countless numbers of Christians were then systematically killed as heretics and burned at the stake if they maintained their belief in the divine Unity of God and did not conform to the innovative teachings of Paul. It is well known that this practice continued until at least the year 1616 AD.

Fortunately there was one Gospel -that I know of-, which was saved although it does not agree with the teachings of St. Paul, this Gospel is the Gospel of Barnabas, there is one copy of it in the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, and another one in the British museum. A new printing has been made off of these copies and it is available today. This Gospel agrees with the Quran and mentions Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) by name.

Some quotations from the Gospel of Barnabas:

In reply to a question by Philip, Prophet Jesus said: "God alone hath no equal. He hath had no beginning, nor will he ever have a end, ... He hath no sons, nor brethern, nor companions." (Gospel of Barnabas: 17).

"... Verily ye have erred greatly, O Israelites, in calling me, a man, your God. ... I confess before heaven, ... that I am a stranger to all that ye have said; seeing that I am man, born of a mortal woman, subject to the judgment of God, suffering the miseries of eating and sleeping, of cold and heat, like other men, Whereupon when God shall come to judge, my words like a sword shall pierce each one (of them) that believe me to be more than man," (Gospel of Barnabas: 93).

Also does anybody in Ireland still follow these traditions? If so about how many? Does anybody practice these beliefs anymore? Is the Irish Religion the same as the Scottish and English and other areas around there? Is it the Druid religion? (I don't know much about Druids, so if it was the Druid religion please etill inform me.)

People with amnesia who don't care about some of their family and friends burning in hell? I guess it won't matter since they'll have no memories of these people (no aunt Diana the prostitute, cousin Amber the stripper, or uncle Dave the atheist). Their sinning loved ones will be in hell. Who cares, the non-sinners will have a comfortable spot in heaven. They'll only have good memories in heaven, right? Does that makes sense? Why is God letting so many cold and selfish people in heaven?

I took the Belief-Net Quiz, which had a result as 100% Roman Catholic, and then 96% Protestant.

Does this mean there is potentially only a 4% difference in the beliefs of Catholics and Protestants? If this is possible, then should we really be arguing, fighting, and killing one another over 4%?

(And yes, I am 100% Catholic. That also makes me 100% Christian.)

Is there anybody else who feels an absolute joy and sense wonder and fulfillment when learning about the true scientific reasons for the how the universe and everything that is in it came to be ?

Do you feel an immense sense of wonder and amazement when you contemplate the sky at night and marvel at all we have learnt about our orgins and existance and all that there is still to know ?

Finally do you think that this joy and wonder is far superior to simply accepting ancient dogmatic myths as a way of explaining the world around us
