alive I might add, children for making fun of a guy's bald head? Have you ever seen a person eatten alive? Do you have any idea how burtal it is? Is this the kind of thing God can just do because he's God? If so, what kind of god would even think of such a thing - nevermind following through with it?

If you read Marilyn Manson's book, you'll find out that he was raised in a strict fundamentalist home where they taught him that the UPC code was the "mark of the beast".
He was terrified of life waiting for Jesus to return and a world filled with evil. When he figured out that he was being conned, he decided to embody the very image he was taught to fear.

On the flip side, wouldn't it make you feel prouder that our species survived through so much chaos and has become a "survivor species"? Don't you feel at least somewhat proud that, because of evolution, we are the dominant species on the planet? This last question does not mean that we are perfect masters of the planet; after all, we still destroy habitats, kill animals, cause pollution, etc.

Same concept applies to mutations. Most are duds. Some give you a small benefit, and every so often, a mutation comes along that is so superior it eventually replaces all the others.

If evolution was bunk, there wouldn't be any mutations at all. The fact you admit some occur demonstrates the reality of evolution.

NASA satellite has recorded the first detailed images from space of a mysterious type of cloud called "night-shining" or "noctilucent."

The clouds are on the move, brightening and creeping out of polar regions, and researchers don't know why.

My friend who just turned 18, died saturday night in a car crash. Because of a drunk driver..
I've never lost anyone close to me...and im not stong enough to handle it. His sister who is an adult told me that he was in love with me. Which just makes it worse..I cant think of going on without him..
can you just pray that God will give me stregnth to carry on? i've never felt so much pain....

What are some arguments against the beliefs/practices of traditional Church of Christ? Supporting scripture? Does anyone know the history or basic theology of Church of Christ? If there is no governing body, how do the churches maintain a level of consistency since the Bible is open to a certain level of interpretation? Is Church of Christ a dying denomination? Does it also seem that the majority of members of traditional Church of Christ congregations are less educated (especially since many of their preachers do not hold theology degrees)? I am open to any insight into this topic! I am wanting to learn as much as possible, and these are many of the "arguments" I have heard thus far. It also seems that Church of Christ believe only they are going to heaven. Is that true? Are they similar to a cult? What are some things I have missed? Why should I or why should I not choose to join a traditional Church of Christ? Thank you!
