rhetoric and if you are a christian troll get a life.

Actually it's not. Theism seems to be the "in thing". And it has been for a very long time. In my experience anyway, most of the people I know say the believe in or have faith in some kind of god. So, in my opinion, atheism would be the opposite of cool. That's only if you equate coolness with popularity though.

I'm not sure that it is "so cool". atheists don't believe in 'anything except the here an now. when you die your bug food nothing more nothing less.don't you think it would be even more cool to have a 'belief' in something of a higher power?there are all kinds of different religions to choose from if you don't want to be 'christian' .maybe you should research all you options before settling on atheism? and with an open mind. but god did "give us 'free will'." so what ever you believe who am i to judge?

It is cool because it lets you think for yourself logically. You don't have to waste time praying to an inexistant entity or wasting hours each week at a place of worship. You have a better opportunity to become more open-minded. You can understand morality outside of a religious context simply by applying your logic. You become similar to today's greatest minds who are atheists.

People who are in the first stage of thinking about the universe believes in atheism. Sooner or later, when you think deep, you have to believe in a creator or creators, who knows.

People who are atheist don't do it because they think it's cool. They are atheist because they can't believe in God, due to their belief in science or diametric philosophical ideas.
